Maybe he's asking whether there are chemicals in contact lenses that give people cataracts. Answer: I don't think so.
Well I thought this post could have some useful discussion, Most people in the 70 years old develop cataracts. I se a lot of bs. Some lenses are made from Acrylics, some modified silicone, some are soft, when cataracts lense is inserted what are the material is in the replaced lense . There are 41 million American using contact lenses The contact lenses is a business 7.2 billion. This is supposed to be a chemical forum
Read your original post It does not make sense Your post above also is nonsense Millions develop cataracts which are a natural occuring clouding of the lens of the eye and a quick Google shows What are Cataracts? A cataract is defined as the clouding of the eye’s natural lens, which is located behind the iris and the pupil. Cataracts are a natural eye condition and are the most common cause of vision loss in people aged over 40. In fact, cataracts are the leading cause of blindness worldwide. Thankfully, they can be easily treated with corrective lenses or cataract surgery https://www.visiondirect.com.au/opt...d-treatments?gclid=CPKt7K7-5dQCFQqBvQodRM0G6A Contact lenses are glasses Lot smaller Sit on the surface of the eye not perched on the nose Don't have a frame Having personally undergone removal of cataracts from each eye and having intraocular lens inserted as replacements I definitely noticed a difference Mostly brighter more vivid sharper colours and allover clarity of vision Still require glasses although some may not Aside from confusion about cataracts and contact lenses I find it odd that a Government would allow a 7.2 billion dollar business to operate which turns people blind??? Thank you for informing me . I had cataracts and my lenses were replaced. I am familiar with That. The point is what chemical materials are used in the replacement and what chemical material are used in contact lenses. That can not be more clear of a question. I would not expect from you since you are a retired nurse and I am a little familiar in the limitation of your profession in chemicals, my 2 wives were nurses.
Correct Then step carefully and get out of the cattle field. Look at this Wiki entry Introcular lens OK. OK. This is the chemistry section. Is there some sort of point to your post?
I already gave you a link to what cataract replacement lenses are made of and here is what contact lenses are made of: Contact Lense Material.
