After considering the research I have done so far I am only certain I am a German, Polish, Irish, and Russian American.

I have heard of DNA tests like Ancestry DNA and 23 and Me but I have never used them myself. I would be interested in knowing everything I am. Do you happen to know if those tests are accurate?

I would pile up Polish and Russian into one.

Poland and Russia are both Slavic countries but I do believe they each have their own distinct histories and cultures.

Actually the two cultures are very similar so I guess you could pile the two into one.

If you want to push the issue . German Teutonic knights invaded northern part of poland and some Germanic culture was left in poland and Silesia. Irish are Gauls

I believe some Irish may also have some Norse ancestry because the Vikings settled in Ireland twice during the First and Second Viking Ages.

My research on my last name suggests I may have some English, Dutch, and Jewish ancestry too but I am not certain of it.

Well Jewish is universal, they have been all over the world. You must forget about the IRISH, English German,Russian , Pole, Dutch. The only walid is Jewish , they dropped their semen all over. The name will be adaptable for each country to avoid persecution. Same way religion Jews were forced to accept Christianism to survive , Jews come to America ( 1500 ) with Spanish names to the promised land to avoid persecution as they started into Judaism , they were persecuted again.

I just wanted to apologize for repeating myself so many times about my ancestry. I was insecure in not knowing exactly where I come from. I wanted to put my best most accurate self forward.

So in conclusion concerning my ancestry I am an American who has German, Polish, Irish, and Russian ancestry. I do not believe I have any English, Dutch, or Jewish ancestry.

    Thank you!

My ex-wife lived there for a couple of years, but I've never been there.

My wife sent in the spit test. She has ancestors from several populations, and the test got it all 100% correct.

Actually I am only comfortable with being recognized as German, Polish, Irish, and Russian because that is the only ancestry I am sure I have.
