I fail to see how it is disparaging. What he is doing is in fact ranting. I am simply calling a spade a spade. I apologize for the lack of punctuation in this sentence as I'm using Speech-to-Text right now.

It is somewhat amusing that you are so insecure in your own convictions here that you can't even put a word in what you are calling the moderation team, and instead use a series of dashes. What's the matter? Afraid to speak what you are actually thinking?

So you believe Jesus was a coward then? No, he was quite capable of being an asshole - just ask the tax collectors in the synagogue he chased out for monetizing a place of worship. Or the fig tree he cursed for not bearing fruit.

Indeed, you display it quite often

It is also amusing that you attracted the majority of the woo-hoo crowd... Birds of a feather I guess! Anyway, I am about to start dinner, so I bid you adieu. I must say, this little diversion was entertaining at least.

Sounds like a rather egocentric article.

Anyway, everyone thinks their belief system is superior to all the others - nobody wants to believe in the inferior one.
Sounds like a case of special pleading to me. From my perspective Christianity is no different from any other belief in the supernatural. It's as full of demons and spirits as any of them.

I remember when I was young...
Back then I would always hear...MY Dad can kick your dad's ass. These days, my god can kick your gods ass. There is no biblical god, it's a frigging fable written some 2 thousand years ago. Would you bother even reading last weeks newspaper? Then why a 2 thousand year old newspaper?

I hear you, but if you read it the way it was meant to be read before literal reading killed the actual meaning of the myth, it makes a lot of sense.

Give a listen and see if you agree or not.

Jesus is the way and that way is the Gnostic Christian way. Not Christianity’s way.

Isaiah 56:11) "They are shepherds who have no understanding; They have all turned to their own way, each on to his unjust gain, to the last one" But do not despair, for the day of judgment is at hand, for the day of judgment and the day of the LORD occupy the same time frame. All the dross will be burned away. (Zech 13:9) & (Malachi 3:3). In that day, "you will distinguish between the righteous and the wicked" (Malachi 3:18)

Luke 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Mark 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

The Luke and Mark quotes are referring to the following.

Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

For an extended view of that from my favorite philosopher. ----

You will note that the bible teaches Jesus’ way and Gnostic Christianity follows that good way, yet the church never teaches Jesus’ true way.

Why is Christianity ignoring and even hiding the only worthy Jesus and the teachings of his way?

    Regards

    Greatest I am,

Could you please explain what you see as the major differences between "gnostic Christianity" and regular, run-of-the-mill Protestantism or Catholicism?

    This may help...
That's why GIA believes he is his own God. To me that's just saying ''I have morals, and I judge myself by them'' ?? In other words... I decide what's a moral and then judge how I follow it. You can then call yourself a Gnostic Christian. Is this right Greatest I am?

Which is essentially the philosophy of atheists. I guess atheists just cut out the the middleman (Jesus).

In fact, if these GCs "measure our worth by our morals", one wonders how they are also Christians.
It raises the question: who determines your morals? You? Or Jesus? It can't be both. It seems Gnostic Christian is an oxymoron. Perhaps GIA can clarify.

how is that different from religious sects? a "human" decided to write down their ideas of what morals should be followed or exercised and those that agree with them do the same.

also, it also can be likened to a moral test. if someone told you to jump off a bridge because god said so, would you? if god told you to murder or rape someone, would you? just because it is god, so therefore it's unquestionable? then you are not moral either. because morality has nothing to do with authority or power. it has to do with ethics, period. in the old testament, the god of this universe told abraham to murder isaac, his son and he was going to do it just because god said so. how does one know this god is even right? or always right or not a psychopath? christians may justify that but i don't agree with it.

besides, if anything, fundamental religious sects are the most confused, conflated and contradictory. for instance, one of the ten commandments is 'thou shalt not kill or murder' which really is alluding to the notion it is wrong ethically in itself (sanctity of life) but it is the opposite of the laws of nature where killing is rampant and usual. but here sometimes you need to murder, especially in self-defense. how about 'thou shalt obey thy mother and thy father?' well, the reality is some people's parents should not be obeyed because they may not have the other's best interests and so on. these are just rough drafts of generalized ethics and the details and circumstances are not considered. you have to supply your own common sense.

but the esoteric meaning indicates these are 'higher' truths, not necessarily how things actually are or usually are. christians, muslims, and jews believe their god (one they worship) is responsible for creating this universe but we know they don't think much so these contradictions don't bother them much.

at least agnostics attribute higher truths to a different source than where we obviously reside because they do not coincide or match up and attribute this creation to a lesser god or power.

whether it's true or not, it just indicates at least that the agnostics were a wee bit more intelligent or realized an entity that would create this system or even as a thought/concept/idea is not one they would want to worship or respect.

one of the greatest dangers i've witnessed in life with any source of ideas, philosophy, religion or cult is the notion that there is an infallible source. for instance, whether jesus christ was the son of god, ever existed or not etc does not matter to me as much as the fact what this person supposedly said is a source of moral metaphors, among other so-called prophets and perhaps more spiritually enlightened people than the majority at the time that had a message to convey, and even if i agree with some, similarly, that doesn't mean i agree with others he may or may not have said or with everything.

there is no human, no scientist, no school of thought, no guru, and probably no creator (if they exist at all) that is infallible either. it doesn't mean it's always nefariously intended, some sources could be well-intentioned but could still be incorrect on all or some.
