Can moringa seed heal diabetes? http://www.doctorshealthpress.com/general-health-articles/moringa-seeds-benefits 4. Lowers Blood Sugar Levels A 2014 study published in Acta Histochemica reported that moringa seeds can lower blood sugar levels, which would provide therapeutic management (or even prevention) of diabetes (6). However, the study was done on lab rats and research is needed on humans before any recommendations can be made.
In short - no. Diabetes cannot be "cured" by lowering blood sugar. The raised blood sugar is a symptom of the disease. Type 1 - The body, for one reason or another, cannot produce enough insulin. Generally this is due to damage to the Eyelet cells in the Pancreas being destroyed by white blood cells. There is no current "cure" for this - there is research into either regrowing these eyelet cells, but this is pointless without stopping the immune system from attacking them again. There has been research into implanting an artificial pancreas with a selectively permeable membrane - that is promising, but a long ways off. There has also been experiments with genetic manipulation and/or various medicines to stop the immune system from attacking the remaining eyelet cells in recently diagnosed people - this will help prevent it getting worse, but not reverse the condition. Type 2 - Insulin resistance. Basically, the body doesn't adequately respond to the insulin it produces. Weight management and diet can usually maintain this, but sometimes additional medication (such as Invokana) is required to help expel the excess glucose from the blood to prevent ketoacidosis and other ill effects.
Try bittergourd leaves and "serpentina" leaves". There are some info found on the web that it can help lower blood sugar level.
On a point of detail it is "islets" (of Langerhans) , i.e. small islands, not little eyes. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancreatic_islets
I thought it was cinnamon. Or was that last year? This year, turmeric seems to be the universal wunderdrug. A lot of foods help to manage Type II diabetes, but only in conjunction with abstinence from the harmful ones, the correct schedule and size of meals and the appropriate regimen of exercise and weight control. Also: keep your feet dry and unchafed, so's you don't lose them.
+1 Lots of thing help control your sugars. None of them cure or even help the disease itself. The treatment for Diabetes is nothing more than the adherence to the textbook healthy behavior: eat right, lots of fruits and veggies, small portions, often - and exercise.
I would move exercise to the front of the list. Puts you in the right frame of mind. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Aha, yeah - my bad! Preferably, one who has had several years of medical school and training, and several more years of apprenticeship/internship under experienced medical practitioners.
You asked what quantifies a "real" doctor - not a "good" doctor. Sadly, there is a difference anymore - a lot of "real" doctors are sucked into the FDA's erroneous guidelines (low fat, high carb diet) that have cause Obesity and Diabetes rates to skyrocket... slowly, more and more are waking up to the fact that such a diet simply doesn't work with our increasingly sedentary lifestyle - a carb-heavy meal only makes sense before intense physical exertion, otherwise you will simply turn the carbohydrate into sugar, spike your blood glucose, release a ton of insulin, and store all of it as fat.
" The ideology and methods of naturopathy are based on vitalism and folk medicine, rather than evidence-based medicine. Naturopathic practitioners generally recommend against modern medical practices, including but not limited to medical testing, drugs, vaccinations, and surgery. Instead, naturopathic study and practice rely on unscientific notions, often leading naturopathic doctors to diagnoses and treatments that have no factual merit." - Wiki
