    http://www.slate.com/articles/double_x/doublex/2011/02/sex_is_cheap.html

This article sums it all up:
    • Millennial men are earning less then childless millennial women and getting less education then their female pears.
    • Women are finding it very hard to get a committed boyfriend and husband.
    • Most men of this generation being losers, the dating party is a bun festival with several attractive women for ever one male that is handsome, has a good job and good education, resulting in the men being able to dictate terms, which is he pumps and dumps women at a regular interval.
    • Even of the loser men there are distractions, video-games, porn, that makes life good without being in a committed relationship or any sex at all.

What are the solutions, or should there not even be solutions to this "problem", because from my perspective it is not bad, not too shabby at all.

I think its gods fault. Isnt it obvious? Evidently its a he and hates women and favors men.

I am happy being alone as i know im not perfect and most others are nowhere near and i want perfection from me and other. I dont want anyone saddled with me and vice versa. In other words, i will wait til i reach heaven somewhere in another universe probably.

My idea of a perfect man would be a perfect angel on earth (astro or nuclear physicist, handsome, sexy, gentle, spiritual, monogamous, ethical, sense of humor, fun, respectful, unblemished character etc, basically a supernatural being like the angel gabriel or something) and they dont exist or it would be so rare like a unicorn. Yes, i want a unicorn. So what is there to miss and pant after?

    Birch,

Your reply reminded me of another study, I will find it later, that found people in the past did not prioritize "love" like today, marriages in the past were far more often of convience or even obligation.

I think searching for love is usually a lost cause and sets up expectations that are too high to succeed. With most doomed to relationship failure it is either learn self- fufulliment and actulization or die lonely.

That is a living death and misery. I'd rather be literally dead.

This is also why so many came from dysfunctional homes where there was little no mutuality, hostility, and unhappiness.

Better to be free and alone than live as a captive.

Agree, but this will likely mean the end of humanity as people choose freedom over breeding. Though I think this is a good thing, tradcons disagree.

Yeah, just not well. Look at the birth rate of developed countries.

Where less of the population believe in traditional marriage, per capita, compared to developing countries.

Yes, my mistake, I read it as "undeveloped".

I happen to think that lower birth rates are the mark of a healthy society.

I agree, because I want to see the end of overpopulation and even eventual de-population as the older generations die off after living very long and happy lives where there is no need for breeding. Breeding in the past was a matter of survival, to create a labor force, to create people to take care of you, to keep a society going, but with technology and automation and eventual strong AI, humans are fast becoming useless, future generations will be a useful as cats, and hopeful the machines will take care of them like we take care of our pets. The final generations will upload into the machine and we will be done with this disgusting fleshy existence.

tradcons on the other hand want people to live like the Amish or in some kind of timelocked 1950's society, they believe people toiling and suffering for a living is a good thing.
