You moved on the the military maaaybeeee not abandoning their research.
Yes. They researched all sorts of crazy things.
They even made a movie of it! Men Who Stare at Goats.

They concluded it had no merit.

Yes, all serious research is titled with "Shocking Discovery!"

The article you linked to contains no actual research findings*. It is an editorial piece, describing organizations that have studied the phenomenon. No one denies that serious organizations do occasionally study paranormal phenomena. But if the results were compelling, you'd think that would be the headline. Instead they go on for paragraph after paragraph about a secrecy red herring. Lots of words - no content.

*except a guy who was able to mentally see something around Jupiter. How they conclude it wasn't just his imagination - that's the real mystery. They pointedly say that the spaceship couldn't see it, so how would they know if he got it right?

I'm merely describing a hypothetical that negates your assumption that if remote viewing were true, materialism is false.

It's not that material Universe is false , rather , material Universe is a part of the big picture , as is life .

The Big Picture , is that there is both .

Unfortunately, there's no rational basis for this.
It's a great belief. But beliefs are best kept private.

The concept of remote viewing is well known, true.
The reality of it, however, is not.
    It has never been proven.
The US government pulled funding after it was unable to produce any usable intelligence data.
Furthermore, the research mentioned in the link you give has been shown to be flawed, in that the people running the tests were inadvertently giving cues to the subjects.
People have since been able to identify the targets within the testing based on those cues, and no further studies, in more controlled environments, have shown remote viewing to be anything other than an unsubstantiated notion.

I can't think of anything that truly exists which is non-material.

Are you aware of any reports that the official stance by the military is that it is a real phenomenon?
Or is it simply something that you are aware of that they have investigated, on the basis that if true, if possible, then it would be of immense value.
Please cite your support for claiming that remote viewing is "very , very true" to the military?
Otherwise please desist from spouting what is simply hogwash.

That's a link to a website that purports to be something called the International Remote Viewing Association.

They have no visible accreditation. (They do have a gift shop the sells coffee mugs with their logo, so that's good enough for me.)

Is this the part you wanted us to read?

So you're giving me a link to a website by a group formed to promote remote viewing as somehow being evidence of... what?
That it exists as a real phenomenon?
Or simply that people have claimed it to be real, and that people, including the US military, did research into the possibility that it was real?

As said, that people claim it to be real is not in issue.
Whether it actually is real has yet to be demonstrated.
