I say everything would come to a halt, there would be nothing interesting anymore, all communications would quickly halt when everyone realized that it was moot to even speak.

And if we lived in a perfect world we'd know the meaning of life, hence, get bored.

I don't know to what extent our knowledge would be, but it would definitely be boring.

We already know the meaning of life, it's to improve ourselves continually and to pass on those improvements to the next generation, whether it's biological or knowledge

I have had plenty of projects that were both enjoyable and constructive, where everyone was on the same page.
Discussion does not have to be disagreement. What about simple knowledge-sharing?

No. You said 'we'. I can speak only for 'I'. As you can speak only for you.

I'm speaking for everyone because it's the truth

You are certainly entitled to what you think is the truth.

But, being as human as the rest of us, your truth is bounded by your flawed body and mind, as is the case for the rest of us.

If not, then you really should start your own religion, with you as the ringleader.

Why should I start a religion when the truth is available to everyone? Just open your eyes and accept it

What's what I'm telling you: open your eyes and accept it. You speak only for yourself.

Strange, isn't it - two people having different views on life. It's almost as if ... as if ... we've each decided for ourselves what we think life means to us.

By the way, this a science forum not a church service.
You are required by rules to defend your claim with evidence and facts.
You have voiced an assertion that is unsubstantiated.

Please don't tell me you don't know how evolution and spread of knowledge works

    Fallacy: moving the goalposts.

We are not discussing evolution or knowledge. The discussion is about opinions on the meaning of life.

    Assertions require defending:

"As the forum developed, our interests broadened to include Philosophy and Ethics, Religion, World Events and Politics and other topics. However, we retain in all areas of debate an ethos of respect for the scientific method, which demands critical analysis, clear thinking and evidence-based argument. "

The discussion is about the meaning of life, NOT the opinion of it

Yup. And you're welcome to your opinion about it.

That, by the way is why this is in Philosophy, not in a hard-science forum, where hard answers can exist.

Now, defend your opinion with evidence.

I guess your arrogance will not allow you to accept this truth

    Funny word that: arrogance.

Here I am , speaking only for my own meaning, whereas you have the arrogance to speak for all others.

    Now, defend your assertion.
