What a technical feat NASA has achieved! A colony on Mars. Pity about the 20+ year old slave kids, of course, but hey! Kudos for the cool Mars colony!
20 years to Mars? What did they do? Take the scenic route through the Kuiper belt? Oh, wait I get it now. It was a shipload of kids. You know how they are; always making you stop so that they can use the restroom.
I believe the 20 years bit was that the kids were put in space for 20 years? I'm not really sure... then again, given where the comment came from, who knows.
NASA needs money. Getting to Mars is expensive. But they don't tell anybody they are already there and they want to send more unmanned probes, because getting to Mars is expensive. Evidently it's cheaper to send a boat load of kids than to send a rover that can fly around instead of going ten feet per sol.

Unfortunately, by the time Mark Watney got there the kids had voted to defund NASA and close down the colony. Sadly, they forgot to include a means for them to return to Earth.
These people are just doing this to see how far they can push morons. Alex Jones clearly believes he's a good guy and a lot of the shit he spouts. But I refuse to believe that on a personal level he swallows his own bullshit. He's making millions per year on this shit and that's why he does it.
