Has it not occurred to you that the fact so many people see this means it is a perfectly normal phenomenon, with a rational explanation? Have you ever considered asking an optician about it?

It was in fact explained well and at some length, with diagrams, in post 18, on page ONE of this interminable and silly thread.

No need to invoke a load of ballocks about spirits.

Congratulations on pointing out it is not floaters
How you come to such a diagnosis without any examination is outstanding

May I inquire? Since you have ruled out floaters you must have some idea of what it is yes?

It would be helpful if you post your knowledge here please to enlighten us dumb nuts

    Thanks

My guess would be seeing the red blood cells moving through capillaries in the retina, as they move in rhythm with my heartrate in what looks to be paths that dont change. Very easy to see if you shine a UV torch at a monitor(with a black background image). This sounds like it would make sense

edit: I found what it's called:
    "Blue field entoptic phenomenon"

I read somewhere recently that when you 'see stars' (like sneezing or getting whacked on the head) you are seeing while corpuscles getting blocked up in the tiny retinal capillaries as they constrict.

I typed in “I see air moving” for the first time and it led me to this forum, I’ve read a couple of post and a couple of responses, not all, and I can agree that I’ve been seeing this since I was a little kid, never understood it just knew I can see particles in the air no matter where I look. About 2 years ago I tried very hard to understand what I was seeing and something new started to happen, the particles turn into glowing worms that move only in 90 degree angles, they are transparent and everywhere, I see them when it’s bright and sunny. At night something different accurs, the air moves like smoke from a fire and when I focuse I see things moving like octopus, spirals, spirits (body moving), tornados and vortex, these movements are not random, the spirals and vortex are always over my head at a 45 degree angle, it seems like the octopus like creature always occupy the ceiling and the spirits (what I call them) walk the ground. I know this sounds crazy and I don’t know or claim to know anything about this, this is just what I see.
I’ve been becoming more interested in these sites because no one can explain them to me, I don’t know if my brain is creating them but I know that they are as real as everything else that I’m looking at.
I can go on forever but recently as I watch my girlfriend sleep I seen her face twitching, it was like her face was changing, it was mind blowing, but the more I focus I seen theses things flying on and over her face, the only thing I could compared them to was fairies.... I know sounds crazy but as I put my hand out one of them landed on my hand. I couldn’t touch them I could only see them. Their wings didn’t move like birds but more like a bug creating an X type pattern, they maneuvered like dragon flies. These are some of the many things I see, I though I would share because maybe other people see, I don’t think I’m special or that I have a gift, these vision have not helped me or has giving me a greater understanding of anything, I believe everyone is different and I guess this is the way I’m different. I see many other things which I’ve explain to friends and the really think I’m crazy, I believe I can not only see through my eyelids at night but I see entirely different places as if I’m looking through someone else’s eyes, this doesn’t happen all the time and I don’t know how it works, but thanks to everyone who has read this post, and those who don’t think I’m crazy...

I recommend that you describe all of this to your doctor just to be on the safe side.
    Good luck.

I have experienced the same thinthingg, even since I was a child. I mentioned this to others. Some said they s as the same phenomena. Most said they did not. Sometimes someone who said they saw this talked of auras or such. From this advice, I tried to find patterns, but to no avail.

I also experienced migraines and thought maybe this is a low grade phenomena not matching records on migraine attacks....such as proto aura phase phenomena without a migraine? Etc.

I re searched anatomy and physiology and there are rational explanations that fit observations. The rods and cones in the retina constantly charge and dischrage. It is often assumed that a charged cone or Rod remains stable, yet at the molecular level, electrical activity is in short distances with other structures, and electrical transfers in biology are seldom in a single location like we create in a wire. Storage of a single electron used in a reaction in plants and animals often is in motion between dozens of structures, reducing random chemical reactionreactions, keeping the electron ready for the dominant pathway. This can be seen more in photosynthesis where an electron moves between dozens of structures of transmission as if the chemical wiring is decentralized and also serving as storage and able to remain in transmission and storage until exactly as needed. If it remained in a single storage space, random reactions could occur instead of the critical function.

Even in neural pathways, transmitters of all kind fill the synapes and are not statice, perhaps like a basketball or soccer game were neither side can score a goal, moving the ball back and forth in transmission and storage until ultimately the ball reaches a goal of basket, scores and initiates the critical function

(The ancients believed every culture was given their own ball game which came from the great spirit....And strangely, Every ball game seems to be similar to neural transmitters bouncing between synapes....hmmmm...oh well)

Plant pathway studies are used to model human neurons and nerves as they work in a similar ways and are observable yet even animal studies have a hard time making observations on a living creature in real time....And to find a lab animal that can have brain sensors surgically implanted to measure brain, eye, and optic nerve functions while being able to verbalize subjective experience to define the fuzzy energy particles is an experiment that will not be performed, and if it ever is performed, the reliability of the doctor a nd test subject would prejudice all results

Is the phenomena rod and done charge, discharge and re energizing? Are they normal electron transfers in the optics nerve or synapses, triggered by relaxation states ?

Could they bbey phenomena OUTSIDE the body and he truly external observations?

triggered perhaps by harmonic interference of light wave lengths beyond the range of normal visual ranges. (Interference patterns of EM can produce blip signals within reception ranges of radios that cannot receive either wavelengths....perhaps this phenomena operates in the visual spectrum too)

There are theories that quantum effects in the brain are significant....which could effect the optics networks and brain as well as interference patterns external to our body

All of which are rational models, but sadly, not testable

And as provable as anyone who insists such things do not exist, refusing to consider observation
Or as provable as someone who I insists they must be seeing a cosmic aura from another dimension

I recently talked to an ophthalmologist who told me what I experience and what is described is normal for most people, but that there is no accepted model

Sometimes rational explanations are possible but as provable as the theories they attempt to debunk, yet insisted upon with the same fanaticism of untestable and unprovable faith as those who claim supernatural exolanations, and sometimes either model is as useful....

It's a common phenomena known to medical specialists. There is no testable model to explain it. It could be normal patterns of optical and neural networks creating stability in their structures but generating low level signals often ignored....or it could be driven by EM interference patterns, revealing signals to our optics not normally paid attention to and there is reason to hypothesize that quantum effects govern all process in our brain and we have no model for it.

    Are you seeing cosmic energy?

I tend to the rational model but at some point, it sounds like the myth that the great spirit p!wanted in our brains the rules for every ball game, and yet every ball game seems to be a variation of neural transmitter activity. Making both the Iroquois religion and modern science to find the same conclusion...or the Greek myth that all was chaos and then out popped the gods as if by magic....And yet that seems to be what the Mandelbrot series does and Feynman diagrams describe

Other people see what you see. Medical specialists describe it as normal. Rational models exist. Their conclusions are fundimentally the same as mystical ones requiring rational skepticism to make a leap of faith in par with those with religious convictions. This often happens in science, rationalism and skepticism

Everyone experiences this because vision in not perfect, most people just ignore it and don't even notice it.

Sorry about your migraines. Auras are just bullshit woo-woo.

Correct. The rest of the paragraph was not needed based on this correct assessment.

The ancients would crap their pants if they could see how much more we know than them, they could not even conceive of the level of knowledge we have attained.

    What are you talking about?

    No.

    No

We are really starting to go off the rails now..

Now you are being a little bit absurd.

Of course there are acceptable 'models'. Are you sure he was an ophthalmologist and not a hoptomologist? A hoptomologist is someone who does home brewing of beer.

Have you read the whole thread? Your answers are there.

Oh, for the love of.. No no no.

    Hey, now you got it!!

Oops, now you don't got it!

In general, belief in magic is a bad course to take.

I can hear my brain "thinking"........

Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

It is an undefined sound, such as a light hiss which seems to permeate my entire brain.
If you are in a very quiet room and focus your concentration on the brain, you can hear it, deep down and in the background and unrelated to all other sounds. It is clearly an "internal" process and not generated by the external environment.

A docter once told me it is the sound of blood rushing, but it is completely unlike tinnitus and clearly not generated by my auditory system. I believe it is the result of billions of waves collapsing on neurons, which in toto generates this background noise......

The sound of blood rushing is nothing like tinnitus. It sounds more like white noise - a very subtle hissing. And it's in your ears, not your brain.

If you're like most people, one of your ears will occasionally "cut out", as if someone stuffed a cotton ball in your ear. It is a very disconcerting feeling. It is only when you stop hearing the ambient noise that you really notice what you were hearing but ignoring.

That's just the sun and moon pulling on your cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Try to find if there's a difference in the 'sound' at Spring and Neap tides. If you notice a difference, then add more fibre to your diet.
Noisy brain... check out the MRI scan picture showing pulsation of CSF here:

But seriously, if the moon gets closer to earth, does it negate some of earth's gravity pull and make people feel "lighter", or "uplifted ?

Maybe the origin of the "full moon" effect on lovers? I've always wondered what it must feel like to make love in a weightless environment. Creates some strange visuals.......
