Forthright question: Do you think the Noachian Flood actually happened?

    Yes
    That being said
One must ask one's self ---why were the tellers of the story(ies) telling the story(ies).
    And
How much of the story(ies) were altered to fulfill the agendas of the tellers?

All life on Earth was destroyed by a flood that covered Mt. Everest, is that right?
I don't really care about that.

Timojin, you owe me an answer.

Apparently you do not understand what the meaning of the "world" was then and the "world " of present .
Prior Columbus made made his trip to this continent , the world was smaller ,

So I guess the next question would be do you think this "smaller world" was completely covered in water in a flood?

Why bother, he doesn't answer questions because he doesn't have answers.

The smaller world in my case is Iraq, Syria , Saudi to make more precise the Sumerian world

Why don't you answer my question? (Reply will be along the lines of "which one.")

    Hmmm
You would separate the story from the bard? The song from the singer, the symphony from the composer?

...................If your goal is to get at the truth of the matter:
How, exactly, would you do this?

So that area was covered in water - completely, mountains and all - without affecting the rest of the planet?

Funny funny. If the Sumerian or Hebrews would not have written down you would not know any thing .

You continue to refuse to provide coherent replies.

That copout doesn't work. God's plan was to destroy everything that lived, "both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air" (Genesis 6:7). The Sumerian concept of the earth doesn't enter into it. The rest of the word was there whether the Sumerians knew about it or not, and there were beasts and creeping things on it and fowls in its air - and humans too. God would have known that He had to kill them too, even if the Sumerians didn't.

So I'm sorry but yes, the Flood did need to cover the whole earth as WE now know it.

They seem coherent to me. timojin appears to be saying the following:
    • There was a major flood in the ME several millenia ago
    • The impact of this flood was so great that it was retained in oral memory and eventually written down
    • By that time it had acquired details and exagerations that obscured most of the facts, other than the central one that there was such a flood
    • Perhaps the flooding of the Gulf was what initiated this tale that then became a myth
I think he may also be saying that your questions reveal you already understand this and are just playing dumb, though I suppose there is an alternative explanation.

His reluctance to make clear statements of what he believes is indicative of many issues with his beliefs.
