At this time, we're working on our live performance towards becoming an A circuit band and expanding our set list to 6 full sets, all of which have to be polished and arranged accordingly. We're also on the hunt for good agency representation. Recording ourselves hasn't been a priority as of yet. but we have decided that we do indeed need to have some pro multitrack recordings and video in order to get that representation. We're all tired of pounding the pavement and would much rather spend our time on our craft.

How to play the guitar like a muthafuckin' riot:

Step 1: Learn some basic chord patterns like E where you fret three strings and notice if you keep this pattern and fret some different strings, you get another chord. If you also fret all six strings with your first finger (a barre) then the E or Am pattern, the whole thing translates to any fret, so an E with four open strings becomes an F shifted up one fret with a barre on the 1st fret. Stuff about with other patterns like the three-string pattern that gives you a Dmaj on the three lowest strings (geometrically speaking, so these are the three tuned to the highest pitch). Keep on stuffing it, 'til you are riffing by combining chord changes in a rhythm.

Step 2: Retune the guitar in a modal way. Neil Young uses what's called a dropped D which is the low-E string tuned down to D (you can apply this to the high E as well to your taste). One of the modal tunings I use drops both E strings down to D, and also tunes the B string down to A. The overall tuning is DADGAD.

Step 3: Now, DAD you are good to go with Emaj/Am patterns over the whole "fret space". Some of these shifted (transposed and translated) patterns will not be harmonic, others will be. Stuff about with combinations on a guitar tuned to a sort-of Hillbilly/Jazz-blues/grunge mode.

Step 4: Enjoy, and don't drink too much covfefe, OK?

I like Justin Johnson on the shovel three string guitar.
Its a novelty but he does well.
He plays a variety of guitars and if you like simple blues he is one of the best...

Tune to DADGAD and you can play Led Zeppelin's Kashmir with ONE finger!

You can do that in regular tuning if you aren't that picky (pun intended). Just use the one finger on the G string and play the D string open and only play those two strings.

Your way is better of course but two strings on a Danelectro still gives you much of that sound.

    Try a three string.
A cigar box or a shovel but they are fun.
I play in the beer garden at the pub some times and the kids love it...easy to improvise. EBE is the best tuning.

Another of Jimmy Page's DADGAD pieces is Black Mountain Side. I'm sure he has others, as he is a fan of alternate folk tunings.

To my ears, one of the current masters of DADGAD is Jim Malcolm.

I was a big fan but I finally realised he has little feeling and frankly I am on tender hooks as he seems ready to sctew up at any moment..he doesnt but I feel that sort of tension.
The reason I enjoy Justin Johnson is his relaxed style and wonderful expression.

Sign up for Google Drive and you can post pictures there. Once you have a picture there you can click on it and then right click on it and there are some options. One option is "share" when you pick that it prints out that line that I posted. You just copy that line and post it here.
