I think it is believed that the wave-equations of the particles are made of transversal waves. It is taught that transversal waves propagate across a crystal or lattice such as a diamond. Of course, a diamond rejects most particles (neutrinos excepted) because a diamond is itself matter. Neutrinos that can be detected are very close to the speed of light and do not seem to be bound into a lattice. I do not know if slow neutrinos can attach to each other to become a lattice. But I believe that the ether that is quantized by the ground-state of the vacuum would be a lattice. Do you have suggestions to solve the problem with the transversal waves across neutrinos?
I got info about the Neutrino on http://demonstrations.wolfram.com/NeutrinoOscillations/

My interpretation is that a neutrino got 3 oscillators with the phase angles θ23, θ12, θ13. The phase relation of the oscillators determines the harmonics called flavors. A free neutrino would have unsynchronized oscillators which causes flavors to change periodically. Physicists call the periodic flavor change 'neutrino oscillation' which I regard as the change of spherical harmonics that are generated by the angular relations of the 3 oscillators '. I interpret the angle δ as the phase snapshot of matter when it probes an approaching neutrino. I regard δ as cause of measurement probabilities.
What is your interpretation of the neutrino?

Notes: I used to call the oscillators 'vibrations' and the spherical harmonics 'vibration pattern'. A 3D arrangement of spherical harmonics is a crystal or a lattice when very large. I thought vibrations are more intuitive than oscillations. The jargon of the physicists is cryptic to me.

I bet your jargon is cryptic to physicists

And if "The jargon of the physicists is cryptic to me" I'm betting the mathematics formula of physicists must resemble a long lost foreign language

    No.
A particle I expect but in truth I have no idea of how it is regarded by someone entirely familar with the standard model.

My understanding is there are trillions upon trillions of them running around...so given their abundance everywhere apparently and the fact they are travelling everywhere very fast could we not loosley call them the ether?
I know we dont need an ether but as I ask what then should we call the nutrino filled space?

Just read this and burst out laughing.
