peal back the layers and see what's inside------------------try not to cry During the address, meanwhile, keep the cameras trained on the "other party" Those who stand and applaud for different things tells an astute observer who can be bargained with for which things. Enough petty party bickering-------------its just smoke and mirrors designed to obfuscate.
Enough? Last time I remember a republican congressmen yelling out "YOU LIE!!!", so all of this is pretty standard, even bland. All he does is read from a teleprompter, he himself mocked other politicans for reading off a teleprompter and that is what he does now to sound like a human being (let alone a president) and not speaking extemporaneous mindless drivel noises like the pig he is. Aside for infrusture (seriously doubt he is going to get that done) and paid faimly leave, there was nothing I agree with in there, but again he is just spouting out words placed in front of him, what he really beleives he tells us on twater.
This was widely considered to be a real improvement. The biggest problem with him is his going off-script, when he acts like Godzilla stomping through a town made of peoples' values.
And whose wife is considering the best time to find greener pastures. Funny, I thought #MAGA was the current fad. It is, after all, politically correct and all that.
How is MAGA politically correct, when political correctness tell us the US is an oppressor? Wouldn't that make MAGA hate speech?
Yep. Conservative political correctness is hate speech. It probably helps to know at least something about history, especially in terms of American politics. You see, before Donald Trump, any suggestion that America wasn't great was considered anti-American. But then we went and elected a black president, so conservatives have done away with their rule. After all, it's only fair; Americans went and elected a black president, so Republicans went and elected a white supremacist; Americans countenanced the first female president, so Republicans fell in behind a boasting sex predator. They need to get the stench of a black man out of the White House; that's what "MAGA" is about. In addition to "MAGA" being some manner of hate speech, it is also a useful indicator of particular stupidity: Here there be danger.
Political correctness is what politicians say it is - what the prevailing political paradigm considers correct and acceptable. (Hence the name.) Hence, coal, xenophobia and anti-Islamic policies are politically correct.
Anti-trumpism? That's some kind of specific thing - an ism of its own? We have "anti-Trumpists"? The old terms - dignity, honor, self-respect, decency, etc - and their referents: "residents", "community", "bystanders", "witnesses", "everybody else", "decent people", that kind of thing - haven't gone that completely out of service already, one would hope. Have we fallen to where "anti-criminalism" and "anti-vandalism" and "anti-racism" are some kind of special ideologies? It doesn't. Political correctness at the moment tells you that both sides are to blame for the US doing some bad stuff despite everyone's good intentions.
You must be using some other definition. The term political correctness (adjectivally: politically correct; commonly abbreviated to PC or P.C.) is used to describe language, policies, or measures that are intended to avoid offense or disadvantage to members of particular groups in society. Since the late 1980s, the term has come to refer to avoiding language or behavior that can be seen as excluding, marginalizing, or insulting groups of people considered disadvantaged or discriminated against, especially groups defined by sex or race. In public discourse and the media, it is generally used as a pejorative, implying that these policies are excessive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_correctness
Decent definition. Today, the "particular group in society" is white older Christian males. Supporting them is politically correct, and gets you all the benefits that aligning with the political wind gets you. In Illinois, a Nazi and a Holocaust denier is running for US Senate. That's what passes for politically correct nowadays.
The majority of new media do not support that "particular group in society", and the sensitivity to "excluding, marginalizing, or insulting groups of people considered disadvantaged or discriminated against, especially groups defined by sex or race" seem to be chugging right along.
Ah, so you define terms by what you think the media is saying. That's fine - you can do it however you like. Lots of people do, apparently.
As far as I can tell, that's still one of the only groups you can freely disparage. No, just the rest of the definition you neglected.
??? No, the rest of the definition you posted fits the description in my post. But like I said, you can choose to go with the media if you like.
As far as I can see the white Christian males are the ones screaming the loudest about being disadvantaged and discriminated against. While the news media is being attacked as fake.
