The vortex theory of tides can be easily verified by the connection between the height of the tidal wave and the rotation speed of the whirlpools.

The list of seas with an average swirl speed of more than 0.5 km / h, and an average tidal wave height of more than 5 cm:
Irish Sea, North Sea, Barents Sea, Baffin Sea, White Sea, Bering Sea, Sea of Okhotsk, Arabian Sea, Sargasso Sea, Hudson Bay, Maine Bay, Gulf of Alaska. and so on.
The list of seas with an average swirl speed of less than 0.5 km / h, and an average tidal wave height of less than 5 cm:
The Baltic Sea, the Greenland Sea, the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov, the Caspian Sea, the Chukchi Sea, the Kara Sea, the Laptev Sea, the Red Sea, the Marmara Sea, the Caribbean Sea, the Sea of Japan, the Gulf of Mexico, etc.
Note: The height of the tidal wave (soliton) and the amplitude of the tides is not the same.

So the moon's gravity has no effect?

Galileo called the theory of tides frivolous, a sad return to the realm of mystical ravings and preferred to explain the tides, the rotation of the Earth.
Charles Darwin wrote in 1911: "There is no need to seek antique literature for the grotesque theories of tides." However, sailors manage to measure their height and use the opportunities of tides, without having an idea of the real causes of their occurrence.

.......which was jolly clever of Darwin, as he died in 1882........

Yeah, show us that math too.

Then why do they appear to coincide with the moon?

Atlantic Ocean on the north side of Long Island - 8 foot tides
Atlantic Ocean on the south side of Long Island - 1 foot tides

Looks like your theory has some holes in it.

Fermer, I'd very much like to hear your explanation of a few things that don't seem to spring from your model:
1] The tides advance daily by about a half hour each. They do not occur every 12 hours, but every 12.5 hours or so. They are not in sync with Earth's rotation Astonishingly (to some), they are in sync with the Moon's prograde motion around the Earth.

2] How does your whirlpool idea explain Earth Tide? The tendency for the solid Earth to rise and fall with the passing of the Moon? No whirlpools there.

Still waiting for the math for your model, Fermer.

There's just got to be a happy synthesis somewhere here. Just can't decide between whirltides or tidepools.

No I think you ought to engage in the discussion here, rather than refer us off-site, to some dodgy Russian link.

The point about the tides being retarded each day by about 50 minutes (not advanced as Dave mistakenly said) is fairly crucial.

Seagoing commerce depends on being able to get into and out of harbors. Tide tables are published for many harbors, they're predictable unless unusual events cause a temporary deviation.

According to the theory of hot water, the applied hour and the alternation of high and low tides occur for the following reason:
In the system of coordinates of the solar system, the whirlpool rotating along with the Earth around the axis of the Earth and in orbit, from the sunset zone to the dawn zone, overcomes a larger path for a unit of time than from the dawn to sunset zone.
At night, the velocity of the whirlpool motion in the Earth's orbit is 1600 km / h higher than the speed of the center of the Earth, and at 1600 km / h in the daytime.
At night the whirlpool moves toward the orbital motion of the Earth, and in the afternoon against the orbital motion of the Earth.
The reason for this is the rotation of the Earth and the radius of the Earth.
The above is easy to verify based on experience with the globe.
As we see, according to the whirlpool theory of tides, every whirlpool has its own tide calendar.
A "Lunar theory of tides" about the reason for the alternation of large and small tides (Why the amplitude of the tides at night is greater than in the daytime) does not write anything ..

While the Earth makes one revolution around its axis, the maelstrom turns over twice, during this time, the tidal wave has time to precess to circumambulate the perimeter of the White Sea, twice.
If you look at the Earth from the Sun, on the south side of the Earth the waters of the White Sea will rotate counterclockwise, and on the midnight side of the Earth the waters of the White Sea will rotate clockwise.
