How do YOU explain GOD? ☺ I seem to remember, "Nothing exists forever." This, "word," caused the existence. Division by zero, "How many nothings in this," still will not cause the existence without the memory of nothing. +0

...for realising that something cannot come from nothing. If there is nothing, there will be nothing forever...
First came the plant, then the eraser, then the name. Eventually the name was applied to the plant as well as the eraser.
It is para-normal. Para-meaning Outside of the -norm. Because youve never experienced the paranormal does not mean it does not exist. Para - Meaning: "alongside, beyond; altered; contrary; irregular, abnormal," from Greek para- from para (prep.)
...then why is there a word for it? By the very definition it exists, and you know what it is. "...but you have heard of me!"- Captain Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Carribean.
I have experienced paranormal phenomenon. It does exist, however, I do not know the nature of its existence. It is outside the realms of scientific method, a fluke, something which is not easily repeatable or within the realms of human obedience.
Since you don't know the cause, you do not know it was paranormal in nature. All you know is that you can't explain what you experienced.
It is by definition para-normal, outside of the norm. I cannot command it to repeat itself. Scientific phenomenon is that which is empirical, repeatable, testable, something that is under the human command, the human obedience.
I doesn't work that way. Hallucinating and thinking you saw a ghost (for example) would definitely be outside the norm, but it would not be evidence of the paranormal. All you know is that you can't explain it.
Hallucinations are normal and therefore not paranormal. What I am referring to was not a hallucination.
What you are referring to is something you can't explain. For all you know, it can easily be explained by anyone else but you.
Enough of this wishy-washy ghost talk. I am walking a knife-edge here, but if you cannot explain it, then it is not repeatable. That is not science!
Hang on. There's lot of phenonema that aren't deliberately repeatable. High altitude sprites, supernovae, etc. We observe nature, and it isn't always amenable to our probings. But that's not the same as what GL is saying. He's saying in the same breath that he doesn't know the cause of his experience while saying in the same breath that he does know it's paranormal. That's akin to saying 'I don't know what that thing was I saw in the sky, therefore it was definitely alien.'
