You mean the vast majority of people sitting in front of their 82 inch TV right now?

No. If we kept the same brain structure and just added neurons somewhere else, we'd be exactly as smart as we are now.

OTOH if you change the structure to a "smarter" one you get smarter (in narrow ways) - no need for a bigger brain.

    Im saying we do both.
And if we put more neurons in key areas it will get smarter.

Why do you think that will happen that way?

You cannot get anymore than everything, can you? This is what we have.

Well say we put more neurons in the sector of the brain responsible for abstract thinking. We will get better abstract thinkers.
Or more neurons in the sector of the brain responsible for math. We will get people who are better than math.

The human brain does not have everything and we cannot even see colors outside of the rainbow or the majority of EM waves.

...then how do you already know they exist...? ☺

We cannot sense them directly, we have to build machines and sensors.

...but you can sense them because you know they'RE there. This is because we have everything and can therefore do ANYthing.

But why do you think that will work?

    We can do ANYthing?
What about faster than light travel, backwards time travel, automatic food generation, ozone repair, immortality, advanced modification of our bodies, etc.

I dont know for sure, but its worth a shot. If it doesnt work its still a win win and we get to learn more stuff about the brain.

    • Please do not post useless nonsense to sciforums. (Repeat of previous warnings.)
Yes we can do all of that Gamelord. If you travelled the speed of light you would disappear. This is also true of time-travel. ☺

Now we even know how many nothings in one (division by zero.) ☺

    (((1+1)÷(0+1))-1)=1
    (((n+1)÷(0+1))-1)=n (Whatever n is.)

Actually the formula for division by zero is ((+1÷+1)-1) which is +0. ☺

Dont know why that is. Its one of the hard problems of consciousness.
Maybe you are an alien of outer space and you can do the things I listed, but us humans cant do those things.

You estimate it's "worth a shot" based on an outcome that you've pulled out of your matter converter?

Like the instinct to lash out without thinking? Do you think that's a good thing? You must be a big fan of Trump.

As long as we have those reptillian instincts, even if we can censor them most of the time, improving the rest of the brain isn't going to make our problems go away.

So you are sure the knee-jerk response is due to the reptilian brain?
How sure are you sure that that wasn't a knee-jerk response in of itself?
    Are you absolutely sure?

The thing about science is exploration. Doing stuff. We will never know until we try. Be like Nike and just do it.
