Weird pic of a plane I found online.

So this morning I was experiencing my usual depression. So I started reading stupid clickbait slideshows to pass the time.

One of these clickbait slideshows was about how a man turned a plane into a home. He was inspired by a woman who made a very nice hotel-quality home. So he spent 220,000 to buy a plane. And it was weird because, you were expecting his home to look even better than the woman's, yet it was far worse, his home just looked the same as the plane, but worse. His home looked like the inside of a space-shuttle and not comfortable at all. The article said he made good on his investment, but I didn't read to the end to see how. I have no idea how he rented the place out, it looked shabby.

Anyway, one of the pics was weird. It shows a weird arc with no explanation. I am wondering if a scientist can explain to me what is going on in this pic. Is the pic photoshopped or is there something weird going on in this pic?

The light looks stationary, like the others, so I don't get how it could have left a trail.

Actually, it doesn't look stationary because stationary lights don't do that.

Well, if they're stationary in relation to the guy that started out by the front wheels...

I dunno. Its a decent theory but some of the stuff of this photo just looks weird.

I take it you are assuming those blue blobby pillars under the light are his blue jeans. But where are his shoes?
Second, there is a blobby square above the light. I take it you assume that is his shirt, but if so where is his head?
And I assume you assume that hexagonal shape of the light source, is just him fuddling around for a minute with the flashlight. However, its a tight pattern for someone fuddling around aimlessly.
Also, that blobby rectangle may actually be part of what seems to be a jungle-like tent in the background, the light could possibly be emanating from there.
The other question is, what purpose would he put the camera on a minute long exposure setting for anyway?

You should give classes in how to make assumptions.

And who needs a minute to walk 15 feet?

Things don't always look how you expect, that's why artists have to practice to paint what's actually there rather than the image in our minds of what we think should be there.

This is a very typical long exposure photo to illustrate the entire structure. Shoes and other things may not have been illuminated by the moving light. The window lights are fixed.

Im not understanding why long exposure is needed to illustrate the entire structure? The image is blurry and not even a good photo in the end result anyway.
Also in order for his pants to show and nothing else he must have pointed the light at his pants for some reason, maybe he had a tough zipper.

If your light theory is true then it seems the light is concentrated near the wheel, into a hexagon shape, so he must have just lingered around there for a while. Though I don't know why the hexagon shape is like it is.

I dont know what it is. It may be the flashlight thing but certain things leave questions.

"Is it aliens?" Seriously? "Inquiring minds want to know" was the tagline of a cheap tabloid.

It's a time exposure since it's taken at night. You can see his jeans because he stopped for a minute. You can see the moving light, because he moved.

I thought you were exceptionally smart? That's not even required here.

It's just a gimmick. Sometimes it works better than others.

Its easier for me to think when Im in a good mood and not being hounded and bullied by society.
Second I have never heard of the flashlight over exposure effect before until today.
Also I was the one who mentioned the jeans before you did.

It's a long-exposure shot that caught someone walking (op.cit.) with a flashlight. To me the key is the visible stars in the sky. You have to have a long exposure to capture stars in the presence of brighter/closer lights like the plane.
