Any details about the boy? Any photos of the boy prior to drowning? Just for comparison of features

Boy looks small so any chance the girls just missed seeing him?

In fact to my far from expert eye the boy does look disproportionately small face size wise to the girls. Just guess wise size of boy's face looks smaller than features of the face suggest

Any chance you can research details and debunk as you did so well with the recent UFO debacle?

"Martin Springall, 38, photographed his daughter standing near a rock formation in Zushi, Japan, in July 2014. Martin was living and working in Tokyo, and wanted to send an image of his daughter to his wife, who was at work. But when the girl's father observed the image, he realized that there was something mysterious behind his daughter ... some samurai boots. Martin, originally from Toronto, decided to show the image to one of his friends, who published it about eight months ago on Reddit.

What nobody expected was that the image became a viral phenomenon on the Internet, unleashing heated debates between the believers of the paranormal and the most skeptical, especially because the place where the photo was made was near a hidden samurai cemetery . Martin also wanted to emphasize that he blurred his daughter's face to protect her, but that there was no one around when he took the picture.

"I took a series of photographs," Martin Springall explained to the media. "It was not until I got home at night when I saw the boots behind her in a single image. I showed it to my wife immediately. She landed a lot more than me, to be honest. But I really do not like to insist on things like these, because they scare me. I've certainly noticed that someone was behind her in one of the shots. My daughter probably would not even have posed for the photo in that case, because she is very shy. "

Brian Publicover, a friend of Martin and who published the photograph on Reddit with the user name Obiaruf, assured that the image is not edited with any program and hopes that someone can help solve the enigma of the ghost in the image.

"I hope someone can analyze the photograph using some kind of analysis software," Publicover told the media. "We are not scamming anyone. We're just saying we can not explain this, and it's a little unsettling. "

As we have commented previously, the image has caused a series of debates on social networks. Some believe that photography is a deception or an optical effect, a reaction that Martin understands perfectly.

"I have no idea what those boots are, or where they come from or what they can represent," Martin explains. "All I can say is that I completely understand cynicism ... If I saw a similar photograph I would say exactly the same thing. However, I can assure you that we were only the two of us in the area and the photo is 100% original. "

But is photography real? As expected, the most skeptical claim that it is false, but there are many others who claim that Martin photographed a ghostly figure. And the most surprising thing of all is that it could be the ghost of a samurai, since the photograph was made near a samurai cemetery. However, the boots could also belong to a deceased member of the United States Navy. One person offered his theory after seeing the photo.

"If this is real (and it is not false) this is incredible," explained a user on Reddit. "My grandfather was in the Pacific Theater of Okinawa, Japan, in World War II and I recognize the bottom footwear. It's from a US Navy uniform of World War II. This is the classic jumpsuit with a blue cotton shirt, which is exactly what you see in the photo. The sleeve of her uniform is just below the girl's dress ... The boots look perfectly, although I can not see the double buckle on the boots. Zushi was where MacArthur had his headquarters. It was a center of operations for the United States in World War II. "

And as if that were not enough, the American news and interview program Good Morning America assured that the image is original and has not been retouched in any way.
What do you think of the ghostly boots in Martin Springall's photography? Is it an optical effect? Is it a real ghost? Or is it a joke?"---- https://www.3djuegos.com/comunidad-...tografian-el-fantasma-de-un-samurai-en-japon/

Strange how the supposed guard didn't show up in the other pic. And then you would think the bewildered photographer would mention seeing him.

Not as strange as a "ghost".

It took me three seconds to find an explanation for one. I don' t see much point in devoting another twenty-seven seconds.

I'll invest the time instead in laughing at your finding the simple explanation "strange".

"An aircraft that I don't know about? Inconceivable! It must be a spacecraft from another galaxy defying the laws of physics."

You didn't find shit. You just pounced upon the first google searched excuse to dismiss this very intriguing photo. It's what all skeptics do. Say any unthought out thing, and then claim that as a debunk.

Like a living physical guard appearing in one photo and vanishing in another photo taken seconds later ISN'T strange.

Here's a handy tip for life in the real world: When there's a simple explanation for something, you don't need to look for a crazy one. (You might want to try googling "Occam's Razor".)

The first question would be: Is it true? If you can show that that claim is true, then we might begin to wonder if it's strange. But even if it is strange, it isn't anywhere near the neighbourhood of as strange as a "ghost". There are layers and layers of strange before we come to a "ghost" as an explanation.

The "guard" is another girl from the hairdo.

Simplicity doesn't trump accuracy. When the ghost explanation fits better than the appearing and disappearing physical guard, you go with that.

A ghost would only be "strange" if there is never evidence of its existence. Fortunately there is tons of evidence for ghosts. Photos and paranormal investigations and eyewitness reports. A ghost isn't more strange than a physical guard who appears and disappears seconds later. It just isn't.

    Just no good evidence.

Voodoo doesn't trump anything. A "ghost" explanation isn't even close to next in line.

Uh, yes it is. It's much, much, much more strange.

(And as I suggested, we don't even know if the story about the guard appearing and disappearing is true.)

It's the only story that fits that facts. It's the usual "any speculative explanation is better than a ghost" explanation. Unfortunately there is tons of evidence for ghosts. So they really aren't that strange.

Not at all. The mundane explanation fits quite nicely. Is there any reason to believe the appearing and disappearing nonsense? Is there any corroborating evidence that there was nobody there? Do we have any reason to think the eyewitness wasn't mistaken? Or even just making it up?

No, you've got a long way to go before you can dismiss the simple explanation.

Yes..we have the photo that was taken seconds before or after that shows no guard standing there. And we have the testimony of the photographer that there was no guard standing there. He would have mentioned it. This is basic common sense. Which escapes the skeptic in his zeal to debunk any way he can.

As I recall, the photographer didn't even notice the boots until he looked at the photos later - so his recollections of the actual incident can not be taken as gospel. You seem to be embellishing the story to suit your foregone conclusion.

The fact that he didn't mention a guard standing behind his daughter is sufficient evidence of there not being one there. It's just common sense. You think a living guard standing behind his daughter would be as unnoticeable as a ghost appearing in only one photo?
