There would be police near the residences and there would be police farther away from the residences. Your claim that there wouldn't be a policeman near where the photo was taken is inexpressibly stupid.

While you're gone, learn what an ad hominem is.

I found the place where the girl was photographed and it's right near the Hayama Imperial Villa. Note also closeness of police station to both. Credit Google Earth.

Thanks. Yeah, I figured it was somewhere near there. There are a few places with similar rock formations nearby. The Osaki Park location a few miles away that MR touted is too high above the sea and doesn't have the rocks.

    • Members should avoid telling knowing lies. Magical Realist warned for this post, and his refusal to retract it.
LOL! More lies. She wasn't photographed anywhere near there. It was near the samurai cemetery in Zushi. We already established that.

MR does not think these are the same rocks as where the girl was photographed.
If he's that childish I'm out of here

Where did "Google earth" get the pic of the little girl from?

Can you post a link to this photo?

OMG You call me a liar without checking first for yourself. DICKHEAD.
I put the photo of the girl in there for comparison of the rocks in both pictures. USE YOUR BRAIN DICKHEAD. Wasting no more time on dickhead here.

    Back so soon?

In case you've forgotten, you were claiming that there couldn't possibly be any police anywhere near where the photo was taken. I'm still waiting for you to explain why not.

There was no police around when the photo was taken per the photographer himself. Not seeing police is reliable evidence of no police being there, unless they're camouflaged against the rocks or something.

Can you link us to the original untouched Google earth photo? Either you can or you can't. Just nod or something.

We've been through that already. Did you take the test? Are your powers of observation omniscient?

Here's a personal anecdote: I used to work at a police academy. One day a bunch of us were involved in an experiment. Somebody came into the room, grabbed something out of a gym bag and ran out. The eyewitnesses described him as wearing a black coat, a blue coat or (seriously) a red coat. They "saw" him take a book, a camera, etc. (In fact, he didn't take anything at all.)

That's how reliable eyewitnesses are. Until you understand that, nobody is going to take you seriously.

So he grabbed something out of a gym bag, but didn't take anything? This was a trick to fool people otherwise distracted wasn't it? We know that happens. People can be tricked and distracted. It doesn't mean you're not going to notice a police officer standing behind your little girl on the beach where your attention is focused while taking a picture. And it's silly to say he was there in one photo but not the others. Did he run away all without the father noticing him?

No, it was an experiment designed to demonstrate typical human perception. Feel free to repeat the experiment yourself if you think you can get different results.

There's no difference. That's just how human perception works whether there's a deliberate attempt to deceive or not. The reason deception works is because of the limitations of human perception.

Yes deception works. But not nondeception. There was nobody playing a trick on anyone on the beach there that day. Nobody running into the frame and then out of it to test perception. Just the little girl and her father. And a ghost.

There's no difference. You think nobody ever fails to notice something?

Nobody said there was. The photographer just didn't notice the cop. He was concentrating on his daughter and his viewfinder. He didn't notice every detail that was happening around him. It happens every day.

No...it doesn't explain why he or the little girl didn't react to the police officer, or why he appears in one photo but not the others. It just doesn't. But nice try. I can always tell the skeptics are losing when they try to impugn human perception itself as too faulty and unreliable to see what is right in front of it. lol!
