I know what I am about to say sounds like trolling. I know it sounds like trolling, but it is the honest truth. I know it sounds funny but so does George Carlin. George Carlin is funny, but sometimes the honest truth is funny. So, if you don't believe me, I won't get mad, but please try to be nice in the comments, no rude flaming please.

    1st proof of telekenesis:
I wanted to learn psychic power so I set up a piece of toast, a paper clip (bent into a straight-"ish" line) and a paper pinwheel. Tried to focus my mind. I made it move but barely. I had doubt in my mind, wasn't sure if it was me breathing or moving into the pinwheel, because I noticed when I walked about 5 mph the pinwheel would move. So I tried to do it again, moving it with my mind barely, but wasn't sure. This was indoors with the windows closed, no wind.

I was doubtful. I thought, maybe it was not my mind, but the wind of me moving into the kitchen, or me breathing. So I was not sure the psychic powers were true. So my friend came home, and I asked them if they could do the psychic powers, and they said sure. They tried to do it at first and failed, said they had to concentrate. Then all of a sudden the pinwheel started spinning extremely rapidly for a moment, at least 2 seconds or 3 seconds. The pinwheel was spinning extremely fast almost like it was propelled by a motor. I could not believe my eyes. I said there had to be a trick of some kind they did, like breathing onto it on purpose or something. They swore to me they didn't, and when I looked at them, I didn't notice their nose breathing on to it or anything. And the way it moved didn't look like from breathing motion.

To this day, I continuously interrogate them constantly about it, because I still cannot believe my own eyes. And they keep swearing to me it is the truth.

    2nd proof of telekenesis.
I was extremely in rage and unhappy, sitting alone in a computer lab. I hated the world and I hated how alone I was an how other people had love and I didn't. About 20 or 30 feet away on another floor of the building, was an art piece about love. My rage was silent, I was not yelling, not moving, just brooding and staring at that stupid art piece. I was not stomping the ground or anything. My rage was so much it was borderline tittinus almost. And then next thing you know, the art piece just fell to the ground.

Again if u don't believe me I wont get mad. Type of stuff that makes me mad is being insulted and stuff, so if you disbelieve its fine, long as you dont ad hom or get rude about it.

Also I wasn't sure what forum to post this in, I was about to post this in the ghost and monsters, but thought it had more to do with paranormal psychology.

Anecdotes unsupported by evidence are not proof of anything.

Hallucinations & delusions are plausible explanations of reports of telekenesis. Lying is an other explanation of it.

Even the stillest of houses have moving air.
Even the most truthful of friends will lie.
Even the most amazing of coincidences happen: people do win lotteries, for example.

If what you post convinces you then might I suggest you not be in charge of household finances, as con-men will be lining up outside your door to demonstrate the most amazing things to you.

That's a good place to start. It's why there's a common phrase: "Did you see that?" If somebody else didn't, chances are you didn't either.

Make a pinwheel. Set it up across the room from where you are sitting. See if you can not make it move for 10 minutes and then make it move for 10 minutes.

See if you can make more art work fall from the wall.

See you if can reduce or eliminate being in a state of rage.

Maybe for other cases but in my case I wasn't lying, so it's 1 out of 2.

The second case, I saw with my own eyes my friend move the pinwheel with their mind. And they swore to me it was no trick of the tail.

If you believe, or disbelieve, that a tree falls in the woods. doesn't make the tree fall or not. For example, if I flew to Arizona one time, and you believe I am making it up, does it really matter if you believe I'm making it up? Because it's not a question of faith or fantasy, I'm not a priest counting on faith in God to reveal Himself. I have actually seen magic happen with my own two eyes. So the question really is, how can I make it happen again, and increase my power of magic. One way is to research the thing, scientifically. I am curious as to why it happens. But if I'm never allowed to know why it happens, I at least just want to have power in the area.

And here's the story of Sampson and Delilah. Delilah pestered Sampson to spill the beans and eventually he did. And I kept pestering my friend. I would wait for them to be in the most honest mood possible. Waiting weeks or months to where they'd talk about stuff unrelated. Then I'd pop them the question. No matter what it was the same old story. That they never tricked me, and it was real. I tried them on different days. Different moods. And they kept repeating to me it was true. At what point does one call it quits and realize someone may really not be lying after all.

Doubt I could do it. I need to learn more secrets of magic and train. But I can't tell the fakes and phonies from the real ones.

Doubt it. It was really a sickening rage and I don't want to relive it.

Takes a few days, but I can get there eventually, unless something triggers me.

I still vote for hallucinations, delusions, and/or lying.

An electroencephalogram puts sensors directly on a person’s head & amplifies the signals.

Those who claim telekinesis ability report causing physical action at a distance. The brain wave detection of an electroencephalogram does not detect any signal strength sufficient to case such action.

I do not believe Brain activity can be detected from a distance of inches & am certain that it cannot be detected at a distance of 2-3 feet.

If brain activity cannot be detected at the distances claimed by folks in this Thread, how believable are those claims?

BTW: The Samson-Delilah story is a Biblical myth which does not seem pertinent to this discussion.

The sampson thing was about how I pressured my friends to spill the truth and they always said it was the truth. I don't think they were lying, plus I saw them do it with their own two eyes. So you must think I'm lying, which I'm not. If you believe someone is lying when they are telling the truth then you may have a delusion.

Spooky action at a distance would say the activity only needs to be detected at the action center (in this case 20-30 feet away.)
And we do not know what is causing it, it may not be typical brain waves or something else we haven't considered.

You have interesting hallucinations or have been fooled by clever stage magicians.

I have seen stage magicians perform what seem to be magical activities. They do not claim to actually do magic, freely admitting that they have no supernatural powers.

Why do you call it magic if you believe it really happened?

    Also from GameLord Post 8
I believe when somebody Posts a believable remark, even when I know that it might be a lie..

    is still spooky action...

for a moment, imagine if telekenesis were possible.

people were able to move things with their minds.
    what would they move ?
if it was really really hard and required massive amounts of energy to produce and many years of study, like building a space ship and landing on the moon...
what would people be moving today ?

generaly it looks like it is highly unlikely to be possible.
    or
it requires more energy than the human brain can produce or hold or control currently.

there is a bit of a nasty uncomfortable bit about your subject.
humans have evolved to remember certain things and forget other things.
this process has allowed humans to survive through terrible things.

what is very very common, humans forget many sad or bad situations where they have felt rage or deep depresion or other bad feelings.
these feelings have happened and at those times other feelings have been naturally felt (desires to break things, for things to break)
so there is a set of basic ideas that most often occur when these bad feelings happen.
    BUT !
the mind trys to not remember those bad feelings ALL the time otherwise we would not survive as a species.

    maybe it is possible.
BUT ! it is far more likely that you have similar feelings and wants and desires when your feeling bad and then forget those bad feelings because you need to so you may survive as a feeling human being.
    thats normal.
how would you feel if you only ever had good feelings and never any bad feelings ?
    dont know it doesnt happen
how would you feel if you only ever had bad feelings and never any happy feelings ?
i think mostly people die fairly quickly one way or another.

when we are angry, it is normal to want to change things.
even if the change is just by breaking something
even if the change is by hurting others.
    that is normal
but that is just feelings and just thoughts.
the fact that we dont just go and hurt others when we feel bad is the reason the species survives.

so this you see is selective psychology of the mind.
how the mind works to survive.
telekenesis is something we may want... but it is something we could never afford to keep as a species.
we would wipe ourselves out within a few weeks if not minutes.

Hmm, our brain may be subconsciously aware of this, and so it puts a limiter on itself and disable's itself because it fears other's getting a hold of the technique.

    The answer is obvious, good.

It wasn't a magician, it was a friend, who continually states to me that it was no trick. Magicians admit to the audience it was a trick.

Also, your profile description says "Rational Skeptic" and your signature says how you are a sketpic, so your skeptism is to be expected, you have made a career not to believe (a kind of self-enforced bias).

One trickster could turn the page of an open book even with an aquarium turned upside down over it. Took a microphone pinned to him close enough that it would have picked up the sound of his breath blowing to make him complain that the vibes just weren't right that day for enabling him to accomplish the mental feat. He was far better than a ventriloquist at lack of mouth movement, and had usually positioned himself where he could adeptly direct the flow underneath the aquarium's virtually invisible gap between its inverted top and the table it rested on. While feigning an appearance of intense psychological concentration as having something to do with why he was screwed up in a postural relationship with the "tank" like that.

Never trust the selection of an object that's light or manipulatable by air, or one that can be affected by a magnetic field. They wear out that old magician's kit gimmick of covertly moving a compass needle with a not so telekinetic magnet.

The magicians who don't admit it call themselves things like "Uri Geller". Amateur innocents arguably aren't wholly aware of what they're doing sometimes, depending upon the circumstances.
