Bob, you will never die. Your body will die. Your person will die. But you will never die. I bow to your self but not the ego. I'm off to take a shower. Have a great day, Bob. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
This whole thread gives me the impression that Bowser is consuming something other than cheeseburgers.
What about multiple personalities in the same person ? How many consciences are we talking about in those cases? Do they communicate with each other or do they usurp the individual's overall consciousness seamlessly? Does that feed into the question as to whether there can be a group (or life-wide) consciousness? Again if life itself is one compartment of the physical universe can we attribute retroactively some of the properties of life to that of the inanimate universe (same but different--one emerges from the other, perhaps inevitably)
Well yes,but I was wondering if the phenomenon had any relevance to the OP. A person is a human being. An identity (I guess) can be both subjectively and objectively defined and would not be the same thing. There was that case recently of the American woman who self identified as "black" despite her family background. Humans adopted by animals have been known to identify themselves as part of the group (quite reasonably,I would imagine)
Convert me?? According to you we are all the same god thing. On another thread in reply to ''what is a god'' you replied: BTW...Could you please answer my earlier question here... Repeat: why does a god thank itself? New question... How does a god ''convert'' itself? Please answer both. Remember according to you this is god asking you to answer.
These threads evolve on their own. I think our identity can affect how we relate to others. I disagree. How did "black" become an identity? So our environment is also responsible for defining who we are, giving us an identity?
Because we are. If SweetPea wants to be a person, she is free to be one. Happiness is where you find it. Why not? Certainly it's not a requirement. How does God see himself is the better question. You're doing your best.
