Solar power could be used to add the required energy to balance the equation.
evapouration indeed would be an issue.
under ground aquifers with insulated riser condensing towers as i mentioned in another thread a week or soo back would probably be ideal.
as above though ... why would any capitalist give away their profit or monopoly ? they wont.

and there is a big difference to "want"and "need" as you already know.
Sorry about my earlier rant but I had to unload it ... ( we just got really terrible news/confirmation here regarding our annual median temperatures from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology)
The question is not what we want to happen as we no longer have the luxury of choice. It is a question of what we need to happen.

    "...terribly unwanted but desperately needed..."

    Sustainability and a sustainable future.
Ideally what needs to happen is that the world devotes it's entire resource base including coal fired, nuclear and renewable energy and build sustainable environmentally protected cities including agriculture. It needs to start preparing and actually building a future. And we need to start now not tomorrow.
The problem is that the world will most likely require a major international, human life cost disaster of massive scales, before it will have a chance at getting it's act together and by then it will be too late for so many.

Agreed. We need to start pumping out the solar power propaganda and fast.

You know who says they need to drive 80 mph? Egoists. People who cant just, enjoy a long car ride.

Also, we need to go to war with people who cut down the rainforest. I am talking actually using America's military for good for once. No more half-measures.

Also, I have another theory, that some people are destroying the ozone on purpose, so they can collect fees from businesses who pollute.

If it wasn't for your posting history, I might think you were trying to be sarcastic.

This is pre-lake E information, but valuable none the less.

In recent years, the complexity and structure of Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 11 has been a focus of research, in part driven by the similarity of orbitally forced insolation changes during MIS 11 and the Holocene (Oppo et al., 1998; Droxler et al., 2003; Loutre and Berger, 2003; Ruddiman, 2005; Wu et al., 2007). MIS 11 is therefore important as an analogue for current and future climate scenarios.

It seems like Planet Earth has had a max insolation of 520, at about 410 ka, at 60° north.

Forgive me if I am incorrect, first time reading this.

Also, what is the current insolation we are experiencing at 60° North today?
