Why not test it by drawing the emergent Pi image? Antonsen showed how to draw the "image of 4/3 or 1.333333... Why not draw the image of Pi from scratch and see how it develops?

The irrational numbers are a bit weird. We know that \(\pi \) is irrational, we also know that it is the ratio of the diameter of a circle to its circumference. Therefore they cannot both be rational (no rational multiple of \(\pi \) can be rational. And vice versa)

Or possibly more weird.... Consider the irrational number \(e\). The sequence of partial sums \(S_N= \sum^N_{n=0}\frac{1}{n!}\) (where \(n \in N\)) which are all rational converge on \(e\), which is not

Some people just cant seem to see the 3 D effect in those pics.!!!

To me it looks like 1 long word... then 1 short word below that... then anuther short word below that... an its all centered an takes up about 25% of the whole pic.!!!
It kinda reminds me of Greek letters or hieroglyphics.!!!

It's pretty hard to see such an image if one doesn't know what technique was used to encode/decode it.

Many random pixel images often use a stereoscopic faux-parallax technique that can be viewed by unfocusing one's eyes just the right way:

CH's contribution does not appear to be one of these.

The one you posted is very perty... i can see ether 1 circle patern in the center or 2 wit a slightly diferent focus.!!!

Ummm... except that it is... an just as easy to see as your's but not as perty.!!!

I just noticed a third patern in the one you posted... the view is as if you'r flyin over a volcano an seein an upward pointed shape down in the bottom of the open "volcano".!!!

    It's a doughnut/torus.
That's not a different pattern - that's the same pattern, inverted.

It all depends on how you cross your eyes.

I have been unable to see it yet - and I am pretty good at these. I can refocus my eyes at-will.

If you are able to, why can't you read it?

Until you can make out the text, you can't actually be sure that it is a 3D stereoscopic image.

I can't see anything in post #23, but I can view post #26 both ways with no problem.

Many years ago they used to have those hidden 3 D images in the comic section of the sunday paper... an i thout it was perty cool the first time i saw the image inverted... but the one you posted is the first time ive ever seen more than 2 paterns... an so far ive seen 4 diferent paterns... the last just while ago an it bein 3 circles goin horizontal in the middle of the image.!!!
In all 4 of the paterns ive seen... each one is just as clear as the other.!!!

The 3 D patern in the one i posted is faint compared to the one dave posted but its still obvious.!!!
If you put Daves image next to mine... an focus to see the hidden image in Daves... then hold that focus as you shift you'r gaze to the one i posted you woud be more likely to see the 3 D effect in mine.!!!

I cant read it because the patern that makes up the letters is incomplete... tho... i do thank that one of the short words is God... an when you do see it... it will be obvious that its a 3D stereospopic image.!!!

I know how to view 3D stereograms.

So far, no one can see any image in yours. It is conceivable, based on current sampling, that yours has no cohesive image embedded in it.

A quick analysis suggests the image does not have sufficient repetition in the background noise to allow the eyes to define and lock on to two separate portions of the image. That repetition is critical for the effect to work.

    Look at any closeup section:

There's a suggestion of repetition, but it's so full of noise that there's no way one's binocular vision could possibly be fooled by it to complete the illusion of a single image.

This is what the background pattern needs to look like:

Definite repetition. Enough for each eye to lock onto a different section and hold it.

CH, it is possible someone's pulling your leg. Or perhaps, you're the one pulling our leg?

Yes of course... but did you try what i suggested to James R... an place our images side by side to help you to notice the 3 D effect in my image.???

No... cause im sure that it does.!!!

Mater of fact... that the image i posted is so full of noise is why the 3 D effect is more dificult to see.!!!

No... cause i know that the 3 D effect is in my image... an quite see-able.!!!

And yet, you can't tell us what it is you see.

There is no reason why an image cannot be generated to look as if it has a hidden 3D image, while in actuality being just some shifting of pixels to hint at structure.

That image has an intestrin reverse image effect... the background is the same... an then it looks like a big shark has swallowed half of another big shark... an in front of that image... it looks like a much smaller Catfish.!!

No my leg ant bein pulled... an everthang ive posted about the images is true.!!!

    It is indeed a shark.

There is no second fish. What's happening is that your technique for viewing is overcompensating - you are looking too deep - and getting double images.

At the correct depth, it is a single, perfect shark.

Open the image in a new window, then zoom in a little. That makes the effect better. (It has to do with the distanace between your eyes, how far away you are, and how regularly the pattern repeats.)

Keep at it. You will get it.

You actually have no way of knowing that.

No... i posted what i see in post #25... an its also what others will see when they notice the 3 D effect that is in the image i posted.!!

    I agree.!!!
