And that medium ends at the outer edge of the Sun's atmosphere. What we detect is Doppler shift in light from the surface. No, I'm saying NASA has posted a pop-science video on YouTube, designed to get laypeople interested in space. It is not meant to be scientifically educational. To understand how it actually works, you would go to a science forum and ask knowledgeable people about the science.
Really , it seems to me you can't accept that the Sun has a sound detected by NASA . seriously , common guy your just full of BS
yes of course there is a problem with youtube videos , but not when you go to youtube and put sounds of planets into the search .
Indeed. How could anyone possibly call a Youtube video they saw on the internet misleading? You have run rings around me logically.
not intentionality but the result of . if you find that NASA has mislead you , then communicate with them directly . otherwise it proves that space is not empty , space has a medium upon which sound waves can travel .
sound travels in an ether , obviously the Sun and Planets have a sound upon which we are detecting which means that we have been neglecting longitudinal waves existence , in space , for much to long .
Funny, you'd think NASA would have noticed - you know, having overturned all of modern physics and all.
interesting for sure . but the fact is that sound permeates all of space . from the Sun to the planets and beyond by an ether which pervades all of space
Here's NASA's description of the "Sounds of the Sun" video posted above. "The Sun is playing a secret melody, hidden inside itself, that produces a widespread throbbing motion of its surface. The sounds are coursing through the Sun's interior, causing the entire globe, or parts of it, to move in and out, slowly and rhythmically like the regular rise and fall of tides in a bay or of a beating heart." (Kenneth R. Lang) Emphasis is mine. No sound is propagated into space. There are longitudinal sound waves inside the Sun. The medium there is the plasma making up the sun.
You use the word "proves" in a bizarre way. Is NASA - which you rely on here - claiming that their planet sounds or sun sounds prove the existence of an ether? Got a link to that claim from NASA? river, when you have no clue about what you're talking about, wouldn't you be better asking questions rather than making stupid claims? Who knows, you might even learn something.
NASA has sounds of the Sun What though is the medium upon which these sounds express their presence , or manifestation ?
. The sounds are coursing through the Sun's interior What longitudinal sound waves are inside the Sun ? What is this plasma that makes up the sun ? The frequency of the sound wave , to my knowledge , has no limitations .
OK, several questions here. I'll try to address them: Sound is nothing more than oscillating mass. Any movement in a dense structure, such as Earth or the Sun, will generate oscillations, which travel (at the speed of sound) through the object. Sun quakes are just like Earthquakes. But again, the sound is restricted to the medium - it does not travel across vacuum. Astronauts on the space station cannot hear earthquakes. Plasma is regular, gaseous matter (atoms) that is hot that they've had their electrons stripped away from their nuclei. Did someone say there were limitations on the frequency of sound? Not saying there aren't; simply asking for the inspiration for that comment.
Sun quakes are just like Earth quakes . So the Sun has the same solidity form as Earth ? Lets discuss this further
The core of the sun is about 150 times more dense than water. One cubic metre of sun core would mass 150 tonnes - more than a diesel locomotive. It's not a solid though. It's a plasma. A very tightly packed gas of electrons and atomic nuclei. (It's a gas because the subatomic components don't interact chemically).
The medium is the plasma of the Sun itself. We can read these internal sounds of the sun by observing the physical oscillations of the sun using Doppler imaging. Why is this a separate thread?
