Depends on what one means by 'aware'. 'Responds to external stimuli' is part of the definition of life.
I am not quite up to speed on who might be connecting a psyche with a religious concept but I can see how it could be assumed there was a connection by some people ** (is that was "spirituality" is about? or is spirituality understood to have no connection to religious beliefs) Personally anything suggestive of "otherworldliness " in whatever shape or form has no attraction for me . It is very hard to commandeer meanings of words and so there is never going to be any end to argumentation- a good thing perhaps but frustrating if you have a yen to pin down definitions and lay them out in an orderly manner.. ** after all "psyche" is a (central?) term in psychology and yet its derivation reads very explicitly as "soul" from the Greek which is an open invitation to those of a religious persuasion I assume.
Good point, I was too open there. I was thinking more of 'aware' of one's own actions of response. Solar cells are not aware their jiggling electrons in response to light, so to speak.
Yes, to most of that. But, maybe I should say this is Bowser, so there's a good chance we know what's coming. I don't quote Bowser there to belittle him, but as an indication. Bowser, If I'm wrong, sorry.
0 + 1 = "i am" 1 + 1 = "i am a (?)" ? 2 + 0/1 = "i am, & you are! & i am not you!" 1.1 + 2 = "i am & you are a(?)"
