    I changed my mind. It's a very small animal on a pogo-stick.

No plausible counter-hypothesis has been presented.
"Imagine" is the operative word there. You're letting your imagination run away with what seems to be a pretty straight-forward photo.

Now... to test what you have learned about trackin critters:::

When the only clues you have is tracks the size of a cat... an these tracks are in the form of a direct register… which means the only critter this coud be is a CAT… what do you thank made those tracks.???

hmmm… Oh... i know… a barracuda.??? No wait… mayb its a bed-spring.??? Anyhow... im perty sure it ant a cat.!!!"

OK, now those are pretty convincing exemplars.

1] It had not been granted that those were paw prints, let alone prints of a 4-legged critter.
2] Cats aren't the only critters that direct register.

That being said, with that excellent example, above, I'm satisfied that polydactyl cat is a highly likely possibility.

Kudos to Dave... an even tho you was the hardest nut to crack i thank we all agree now that a cat is most likely what made the tracks in my pic

Looks almost artificial to me. All three images are identical in configuration, supposedly overlapping footprints (register), even with the direction change. Awesome.

Sunuvagun, you are right. This has been PhotoChopped.

These two prints are identical, down to the pixel.

The black square is the bottom-left print - copied and dropped on top of the top print with a Difference filter applied.

They cancel out exactly. Except for the very slight not-quite black haze around the perimeter of the print where they don't perfectly cancel out. That's because the PhotoChopper faded the edges of the copy so it would blend almost invisibly with the background.

But he didn;t do it perfectly. You can also see that there is a faint bright "halo" around the lower-left print. The snow in the bottom half of the pic is just a smidge darker than the top, so the paste job is just noticeable.

(I do a LOT of PhotoShop work, so this stands out for me.)

    Here they are side-by-side.

The only difference is a faint watermark by the publisher after the Chop job (because the watermark is not identical in both).

I think they may be stock pictures. If you look closely you can see numbers printed on the photo.

It's very clear in post #81 at the bottom footprint you can clearly see a number 123RF over the image. And there are pictures of a camera icon all over.

OK, no points for that one.

It says 'Stock Photo' at the bottom. Clueless' Post 82.
