False. But you know what might get you banned? Lying about something a moderator said.
    Shall we ask him?

Exactly. And no mountain of photos. The numbers don't lie.

We do know that there aren't a thousand times more than in all of the 20th century.

As we get better at 24/7 surveillance, the accuracy of our recording of the world increases. The most recent "snapshot" of events - when taken statistically - is a far more accurate representation of what things are like. The most recent snapshot of events is not showing an increase in ghosts.

As witnessed by the fact that virtually the only things that ever gets trotted out when it comes to ghosts are decades-old grainy film pics.

OK, so you do have a sense of humour about this. I'm sensing a bit of tongue-in-cheek here.

But on the off-chance you're serious, the "If You Believe, Just Clap Your Hands" forum is two doors down on the right and straight on till morning.

I was banned last time for what he calls evangelizing. Which is basically posting evidence for ghosts here. It's blasphemy to his religion of skepticism.

How do you know? Have you checked the cellphones of everybody in the world? Have you actually counted all the ghost photos on the Internet?

"[where] the poster’s main aim is to spread the word about his or her beliefs, without being interested in real discussion or critical analysis."

    Accurate.

I respond to every attempt to discuss. I stop responding when I feel I'm being trolled or tiresomely interrogated. The operative word here is "discuss".

You're the one making the claim. Back it up.

The operative term is "critical analysis".
Much of the time, you've simply posted links to pics or videos, without bothering to add anything to them. i.e. to simply spread the word about your beliefs.
You can thank us for starting discussion about them, but that does not exonerate you from the violation.

My claim is that we do not see very many pics from the 21st century at all, never mind a thousand times more and/or a hundred times better quality.

And what you have offered is testament to that.

What's your latest offering? Something that is the best of the best - that will compel us to believe as you do?
A talking head about a guy who told us he got scared of a shadow.
A picture from a movie (a movie from last century, no less).
An actor on Jimmy Kimmel telling his ghost story.

I post like I discuss. I don't critically analyze people's statements and don't expect others to analyze mine. It's a discussion not an autopsy. If someone starts taking my posts apart and quoting every sentence out of context hence changing their original meaning that's on them not me. And I'm not going to encourage that sort of endless anality by responding to it.

For someone who has to wait to see what photos of ghosts are posted here you sure seem to know alot about what photos are out there. How did you acquire this knowledge? How do you know how many ghost photos are on the internet?

    What do you expect?
Everyone is or was interested in the concept of spirits. It's natural to wonder. Fortunately we have science which keeps our fantasies grounded with facts.
    Ghost,

    Deer watching a ghost?

Do you believe ghosts are "souls"?
What about all the apparitions which are not of living beings, but buildings, or upside down ships, or an oasis, or a host of other visible (natural) phenomena?

Tip: What you're supposed to critically analyze is the content of the pics/links you post.

That little pointer should get you back on the right track, and out of repeat timeouts.

"LOL" is not an attempt to discuss.

I believe ghosts are parts or "shells" of ourselves left behind when we die and are composed of all the obsessions, addictions, regrets, traumas, and fears we lived with when we were alive. The ghost is that side of ourselves that never fully matured in life, like Freud's id, and which hangs around in a limbo state until it learns to let go and move on with the rest of our souls. Not all ghosts are like this. Some are residual images played back from the past. Poltergeists are like the unconscious trickster inside adolescent kids. And some spirits I believe are non-human in nature, perhaps negative beings feeding off the fear and despair of living humans.

How does that work? What are they made of? I mean, obsessions and fears are emotions and don't show up on camera or make floorboards creak.

How does obsession - a behavior born of a living physical brain - become a thing unto itself - free-floating and distinct - and hang around after the brain has stopped working? How does it reflect light, cast shadows, bend floorboards?

It's pure energy divested of material structure. Perhaps it has a field or waveform structure. Beyond that I don't know.

    Now you are discussing ghosts....

OK, I'll go with that. Hawking posits that information does not get lost, even in a BH.

Is it possible that ghosts are this "information" which might somehow materialize and show up as ghostly remnants of "lost information"?

    Just exploring.......

If it is a personally created ghost, it's called a Tulpa.
