Can you cite some of those scientific evidences?

It’s a no-brainer that the planet is going to be very small compared to very large ones, and very large compared to the very small ones.

I’m more interested in the scientific evidence that shows there is “ absolutely no God.

How do you explain all the bad things that are going on in the world if there is a God such as war, diseases, disabilities, extreme pain, people living in extreme poverty, corruption etc.

Many people are dying every day because they don't enough money to afford living.

If this is the work of a loving God then I am totally not impressed.

    Under what criteria?

We know there is no evidence that shows there is a god, under any criteria.

I'll even sweeten the pot for you. You pick the criteria.

Where is the evidence that suggests there might be a god?

No, I am asking you. You are making the claim that God is rational.

I question the rationality of believing there is a God.

Mercury is smaller.. is that insignificant? Is everything insignificant? No direction. Okay. Not put much thought into that have you.

If the bible is right than God is a human being living in an irrational world so is it possible to be rational?

If we value rationality, then we could posit that God is an irrational concept by irrational people, in a rational world.

I'm sorry Dave, the bible is clearly an irrational historical document. It is not designed to be factually correct. It is a psychological instrument. It proposes something which cannot be true and is therefore irrational in essence. If you accept the irrationality, but you are basically a rational person, there will be a time when you will doubt your belief in the bible as a factual historical instrument.

And that would be a step in the direction of rationality..............

What I find amusing is the fact that theists always cite the incalculable odds against the world having evolved naturally and that it is more reasonable to believe in a "divine creator being".
Irreducible complexity is a favorite argument against evolution.

But have the theists ever thought about the incalculable odds against the existence of a divine creator being who created and oversees the entire universe? Talk about irreducible complexity!

Therefore it must be true ???

    Well don’t..
    I didn’t make the claim.
But I assume if no one checks the claim that pluto2 made, it is an acceptable one.

Which stems from your subconscious affirmation ‘there is no God’. I think it would be weird if such a person admitted that it is rational to believe in God.

Talking of questioning rationality, where is the scientific evidence that point to there being “ absolutely no God”?

Theists don’t entertain dumb ideas like this, when it comes to God.

That he could exist, for one. I cannot think of a more fantastical story other than Superman or the Green Lantern.
It's just not rational. As Carlin observed; "Religion is the greatest BS story ever told".

I’m not surprised that an atheist doesn’t believe in God. Are you?

It is the reasons for acceptance or rejection of extraordinary concepts which are in question.
The atheist reasons for rejecting all concepts of "motivated" gods are much more rational than the theist reasons for accepting the concept of a motivated God who created man in his own image.........
