Experiment: My theory is that initial PTSD was caused by the anti-nerve agent (or a side affect of) given in pill form to U.S. and British soldiers deployed to Saudi Arabia. If this is the case, then I recon that there is a 92% chance that an antidote was developed as well. The neuro involved might help these people, as well as others that have developed neuronal hyper sensitivity, and both emotional and neural agitation.

    IMHO
Post traumatic stress is really quite normal.
The disorder part is a tad more tricky.

    Here's another one:
Women are more dexterous in their fingers. That's why they are better at sewing, suturing, and typing (sic) than men. There might be a synthetic (developed from adaptation) gene associated, that could be transferred to males to make them more dexterous in their fingers.

Reading is less important than experience, or even direct (scientific) experiment.

    ...
cases reported by clinical psychologists reports and discussions with psychiatrists(nationally registered doctors) that you have read ?

or some person posting a story on the internet ?

how many opinions of clinically registered Doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists & neurologists(& one or two biologists) have you read on PTSD ?

personally i have lost count of how many i have read and i am not a specialist.

could you explain a little more please ?

it is quite difficult for the patient to have scientific impartiality of themselves.
This is why even the most accomplished psychiatric & psychological professionals have their own therapists.

    = conspiracy theory

if the military had developed an antidote for PTSD that had been caused by an anti-nerve-agent-inoculation
the military would not sit by and watch thousands of their soldiers commit suicide.

so i am finding it very difficult to take you seriously.
    it doesn't add up
    the economics is not sound
the public opinion is not sound
the military wold not wish to lose experienced soldiers(PTSD attrition/burn-out rate is not sound)

maybe i am missing something ?
please explain exactly what i am missing

Here's the article that provoked this post:
    https://www.independent.co.uk/life-...lls-blamed-for-gulf-war-syndrome-1023096.html

I took the pills. I have been diagnosed (at the VA) with 'essential tremors.' The tremors have pretty much destroyed my ability to create art, or even use a computer mouse effectively, among other things. When things like this are developed, the chemist has either already developed an antidote, or has the chemistry available to do so. Please don't take me seriously.

    anecdote:
I got control of my post traumatic stress by alternately sitting alone in the dark, and screaming obscenities at the walls,
and walking-----long walks --- 20 mile walks tend to use up all the energy that you would need to feel/fuel the stress.

One oft repeated stroll was ten miles into town using the northern route, then wander about town, then home via the southern route----stopping at a bar run by a gay guy for some ouzo, then past Sandy Reimer's house and stop in if she was home.........

    Time heals
picking at the scab is another story.

    language converter
original content is in non English.

irony that they are trying to scam people by adding the Americanism "VA" as veterans hospital.
this is clearly American targeted scamming from a non English language

From my personal research: Those of us who were childhood victims of abuse - especially extreme abuse - tend to develop and retain PTSD throughout the rest of our lives. This may be associated with an enlargement of the base of the amygdala in such individuals, which could amplify normal emotional reactions. If we then enter the military, we have a propensity to come home with advanced PTSD from the experience.

I also use foot mileage to fight PTSD - as we may recall, 7 miles a day 7 days a week with my Lovely Lady Labrador, who's constant company is also part of my coping strategy for PTSD. Mindful meditation is another boon, living 'in the moment', focus on the here and now and constant efforts to become unattached to past events also help.

"Cognitive/behavioral" therapy - intercessions work well.

unfortunately the litigious aspect of an uncaring cash-up-front pay per play health care model of social culture has defined PTSD as a validation process to illicit money.
equally by the greed orientated psychopathic & sociopathic inclined who wish to define PTSD as a false condition.

it is not the many who have solved the manys complex problems
equally it is the norm for the many to claim right to be considered the few to avoid having to solve complex issues.

    addiction is clear and present
    opioid over dose ...
    propitiatory copy-write ownership ...

yet americans declare universal health care as being the evil apocalypse of all humanity.

queue moral attempts at rationalizing an irrational morality
conspiracy theories of what may or may not cause or cure PTSD as an easy out to avoid having to face the reality of the immoral social/culture rule.

    wrong

The vast majority of Americans, 70 percent, now support Medicare-for-all, otherwise known as single-payer health care, according to a new Reuters survey. That includes 85 percent of Democrats and 52 percent of Republicans. Only 20 percent of Americans say they outright oppose the idea.

    It ain't "americans"
It is just our millionaire's congress and their greedy buddies in the evil cabal of health care providers, hospitals, insurance companies and drug producers.

    is not universal health care

is an insurance company private profit leveraged government expense per person profit making process off a government morality to cut health care to citizens.

universal health care is the process at putting the citizen first with their health needs as a critical needs priority process where mixed market economics are allowed to interact.

the false debate which delivers medic-aid as a equal opportunity to universal health care does not remove the economic imperative put on government to continually cut funding to health care to deliver an ever increasing loss to service a boom n bust economic fundamentalist ideology
