So, I've always taken comfort in the belief that my impact on the world and life has been insignificant, minuscule, unimportant. There was a sense of security in that idea. However, life has been talking to me (no, it's been in my face). At first I didn't want to believe it, yet it keeps on talking--telling me that, yes, I have an impact on the world and life. I make no excuses, only to tell you that what seemed like sanity was actually insanity, and if I am insane now, than I'm fine with that, too.

Rather than try to control life, I've chosen to let life choose its own path. It's been around much longer than me, all I need to do is give it the space that it needs to define itself.

In short, I've been a dick, and apologize for being a dick.

Don't know what more I can say. I most likely won't return and wish you all well. Peace.

You could tell us who you're apologising to, and more specifically what you're apologising for, for starters.

It's one thing to say the words, but it's another to convince the person/people you're apologising to that your apology is sincere and that you really do understand why you're apologising in the first place.

Apologising is not about making yourself feel good. It is about making amends to the person or people you wronged. It's not enough to convince yourself. It's them you have to convince.

From the OP quote chosen by Bowser:
Keeping that word ''transparency'' in mind Bowser, can you give cases on this site where you have been a ''dick'' ?
Again, with the transparency thing, have you sock puppets on this site?
Jan and Seti come to mind. I don't mind if I'm wrong, I have no ego.
Sorry for suggesting you have sock puppets if you don't.

Maybe the ostentatious departure is an attempt to distract attention from his socks.

Must be a very big pie. Do you think Bowser can manage it alone?

    donuts
    green eggs & ham
    all the pies
    all the cream
    meat off the bone
    pidgin pie

metaphors of denial of special privilege

somewhat ironic in a religious context where one might interpose the self to be less selfless(not directing this @ bowser)
    indeed

4 and 20 counts blackbirds, traditionally. There several species, largely similar in size and diet.

They - all species afaik - are better eating than crows, although providing much less meat per caloric cost of handling. Also, unlike crows, illegal provender in the US.
Not much meat on a blackbird - ounce, ounce and a half: one would need at least a couple of dozen to yield the pie filling of a modern chicken.

Chickens were smaller back then (rhyme composition), so maybe a large pie was envisioned.
