These pics are so sweet. It's interesting that bees just keep working until they pass out. Studies have suggested that they don't consume enough nutritious foods, and sleep poorly...kind of like many humans?

No wonder they're passing out on the job.

They work hard and then die. Humans try to get away from that.

all aces wild if your reading from a site that calls its self eat liver lol

there is an equal chance that the bee going to sleep is a neurological rest period that is required to maintain its neural function longevity
preventing burn out of the nervous system and the parts that drive the wings.

This is a priceless comment by poignant:

If a Video does not move it is called a Photograph.
It doesn’t mean the people or things in it are dead.

Indeed. There is nothing in those still photos to suggest the bees in any of those pics are even resting, let alone sleeping.

Even if their hind legs are not gripping, they still have twice as many legs as humans to gain a foothold.

    Good point!

I thought these pics were so sweet - I’m allergic to certain bees and have been stung a few times before so these images help me see them in a new light.

everybody in my family is allergic so I've avoided being stung by a bee/hornet/wasp. It's almost killed my older siblings on more than one occasion

    I loved the pics though!
