You obviously didn't see the attached steel cables holding The "Flying" Bedstead up

We are all fake in his alternative reality which makes one question why he would bother to post.

It takes an equal and opposing force to lift off and takes an equal and opposing force to land . In a descent situation it takes more force to land as their is added velocity .

When a rocket lifts off from a stationary inertia position , we can see in the video provided how much sort of force is required . Additionally the rocket relies on the density of the air to lift off .

You know that video is fake, right?
There have never been any rockets bigger than 10", the so-called Kennedy Space Center is nothing more than a stage-set in a film studio - though it is located in the town of Cape Canaveral, which is a real place. But now we have computer animation, we don't even need the studio. Since the lander videos enjoyed popular success, we're working a full-dress fake Mars colony, to be released sometime next year, unless the whole place is underwater by then. We hear the typhoons and hurricanes we've been experiencing are just special effects for a remake of Godzilla vs Jaws, but they sure messing up the work-space.

Lift off videos from earth are not fake , it isn't too difficult to put a rocket into LLO .

LOL is low lunar orbit. I thought you said rockets didn't work in space. Looks like you can't even keep your fantasies straight!

Of course they are! Why would we bother to send a rocket off the surface of Earth when it can't land anyplace? What you've got there is the giant mock-up we put on show for the tourists. It's just an empty aluminum shell, made out of 21 recycled beer kegs. It's shot up just out of sight, falls down a little way out to sea, and we retrieve it after dark and keep it under cover until the next "launch" show.

So? If you were driving a car at 60 mph and hit a solid wall going at that speed, the same thing would happen to your car. But if you were driving at the wall and didn't want to hit it moving at that speed, you would start braking long before you reached the wall itself. In the same way when landing on the Moon, you would be firing your rockets and shedding speed long before touch down. You wouldn't free fall all the way to the surface and then fire your engines just at the last minute to land anymore than you would wait until you just were about to hit the wall before applying the brakes of the car.

We can land back on Earth with the simple use of a parachute to slow down the descent !

A cars breaking system relies on the wheels of a car being firmly on the ground ! A cars breaking system would not be effective if a car was in free fall .

A lunar capsule would not have a sufficient volume of fuel storage space to produce the thrust required for a moon descent and landing . A comparison to a flame thrower and a match .

Additionally if they could land on the moon as you say with thrust , then why can't they land on earth without a parachute ?

I think the issue is "does the Moon have gravity?" Being the largest satellite in the solar system would be a hint there.

As you have done the math in this matter can you post your calculations?

We could, but that would spoil the illusion. The tourist have to be convinced that the rocket is real and was shot up into space.

Big fish , little fish doesn't need calculations !

We can observe the amount of force and thrust required for a lift off !

More force would be needed for a descent if using thrust .

This is not evident in the moon landings .

Them, too. But it's mostly for the entertainment of the credulous masses. I don't know why a hyper-Nobel-class mind like yours is even wasting its time on this.

Fascinating. What thrust would be enough to prevent a nasty hard landing in your opinion?
You posted a picture of the Space Shuttle taking off. How much does the Space Shuttle weigh? (as in pounds in Earth gravity.) Now how much does the LEM weigh? (as in pounds in Moon gravity.)
Ah, so you think rockets work like hot air balloons. Fascinating!
So you have watched moon landings? Please post this never-before-seen video!

*sigh* feeds the troll a snack

Earth gravity six times Lunar gravity.
Fully loaded Saturn V masses 200 times lunar lander.
    That's a 1200x difference
Velocity of landing is hardly a factor.

Also, rockets don't push off air. Rockets actually work better in vacuum.

    Back to your bridge.
