I'm intelligent, yet I have no problem squishing ants.

Lions are intelligent, yet have no problem killing antelope.

By analogy, a God could be intelligent yet not feel the need to protect individuals. Thus, the whole sideline about what an intelligent God might do does not apply to God the Watchmaker.

So maybe change your thinking to fit the way the world is.

You keep pushing to the same inane strawman where you believe ants and now lions and antelope are capable of intelligence, then use the strawman to somehow argue that human intelligence doesn't equate to intelligence. Hilarious.

Lions are mammals. They are far more intelligent than insects. Insects are more intelligent than bacteria.

This is not my belief. After you're done with reading up on 'God the Watchmaker', read up on 'intelligence' and maybe 'biology'.

Until then, your arguments are becoming increasingly divorced from modern knowledge and are interfering with the OP's thread.

And the strawmen keep marching on. I'll ignore the rest of your gratuitous bullying.

I'll take your dodge as a concession.

Pro tip: the difference between 'criticism' and 'bullying' is in the target - what someone says, versus who they are.

"Your arguments make no sense" targets words.
    "You are crazy." targets persons.

Why not design it like that?

Not any "God" I've read about. Abraham religions. I think even Allah helped people. You could say he still does today.

This is a thread about God the programmer.

The OP didn't have much to say about so I submitted the more well-known concept of God the Watchmaker.

I can recommend some books if you'd like.

I agree with you, "Watchmaker" or "Blind Watchmaker" is a better fit.

But that is how the physical moves, the cogs, the only thing that is real is you, the whole clock is just for you!

    Every birth a new timeline.

I might be Dr Who now, but you will be too and you'll love it, trust me(never believe anyone when they say that, but believe me!)

That would be an imperfect design by a perfect God. If God was all powerful, he could have easily created a universe that was not plagued with natural disasters. Oh wait, the Garden of Eden was just such a place, yes? Perhaps, God changed the design after the fall of man?

Why would it be an imperfect design?

Think of the world and its history as a movie, the best show in the universe.

I've already said, it has natural disasters that can kill hundreds of thousands of people in a single day. Mosquitoes, for example, cause more than a million deaths every year. What purpose in God's grand design were Mosquitoes?

To do exactly what they do.

Your problem is you think you know what perfect in this context means.

So, God created Mosquitoes to carry disease to kill people? Okay.

Then, let's not use the term 'perfect' and go back to using the term 'intelligent'. Is it intelligent to create an insect that does nothing but suck blood from other animals and spread disease that kills them? If you were creating an environment for animals, would you create one that killed them or create one that kept them relatively safe?

If that's the story I wanted to write then yes.

A one to keep them safe. A one where there was no need to eat, for animal or man. You could choose to eat if you enjoyed eating. Animals have been suffering for too long, it's time for a change.

Dogs can eat obviously too. One of my dogs dreams about eating all day. He is obsessed with food.

The story goes something like this...

"I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."

Doesn't that story contrast the tsunami that killed over a quarter million people?

"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture."

Wouldn't that story show God wants to keep us safe? There are many more such passages in which God has created an environment to keep us safe.

Yes, you would, as an intelligent being, create and environment to keep your animals, or whatever, safe from harm. Why hasn't God done that, despite the passages in the Bible?

Did God actually decide to create a natural evident and blame it on nature?

Do you trust in the Lord?

    [/quote]

I don't know who you think you are but I will tell you what you are. An imperfect being trying to correct a perfect being. You will obviously not accept this, and move along with your delusional judging session.

Of course not, the Lord is a dumba$$.

That's fine, the Lord can be perfect, whatever that is, but the Lord is not very intelligent and that's more important than perfection considering being perfect is subjective and mostly irrelevant.

Exactly. So why do you expect to be safe?
