I have three older brothers who listened to the Beatles when I was a youngster, so of course I listened to the Beatles.
I like this music live. I went to this pub down from where I used to live, 2 years in a row on christmas eve. both times a band like these more instruments playing in front of a fire. magical. Cheers Alex <3
Phil Emanuel Tommy Emanuals brother played (guitar) at our little pub and while he was playing I had the pleasure to dance with his missus. It was the weirdest thing..I was dancing with this girl with purple hair, just the two of us and no one else on the dance floor both of us showing off..whole town in the audience...and Mrs Phil gets up and started dancing right in front of me looking me straight in the eyes cutting out the girl with the purple hair ....I did not know what to do so just kept dancing, just the three of us...I was kind of embarrassed. I mean think about it he is playing and she was being rather provocative...They stayed the night at the pub I stayed at a mates across the road and the next morning I went to the pub for breakfast ( bacon eggs and a black zambucca) and as I sit down Mrs Phil comes over and we chat for two and a half hours it was like we had known each other for years, I often think of her. Phil died poor chap but he was a great guitarists but I only saw him play electric guitar. This reminds me I have had some many weird experiences with women?... heck it's all just started flooding back...never thought about it much until just now. I think why I keep busy it prevents thinking about what might have been. I also had the pleasure of seeing Tommy Emanuel perform once ...sheer excellence. I have only this week found Billy Strings but man he can play. Alex
That is hilarious, what a situation! Comedy classic written all over it! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I was at my local one night and this bloke with his dog came over and thought I wanted a fight! So he's shouting bawling get closer to my face so I stood up, about a foot taller!(I'm only 5ft 9 1/2"), he said "oh big man eh?" I asked him if he danced he said "aye" so I started dancing with him! Funny it was... I get myself into some funny situations, as do you Alex by the sounds of it!
I am bored as you can tell..but I recall this one.. So we are at the pub sitting in the beer garden Four seats , two a seat, five guys. This lady comes up obviously drunk a blow in. She was not only beautiful but very very well dressed and groomed, could have been a tv presentor...just stood out. She sits opposite me...well are all chatty and so is she...but she stands up and pulls up her shirt and bra in one go and leans across the table shaking her goodies in my face..all but one guy is shouting you can't do that one is saying let her keep going...so she puts them away and sits back down...then says she is leaving..the guys says follow her we can't let her drive..so a mate and myself follow her to talk sense to her and make sure she does not drive...he gets fed up and leaves me and her outside a little restaurant near the pub..mates had a good view...I said something that upset her and she launches an attack I have had from no man..she knew her stuff..so I am blocking punches like in a Bruce Lee fight...she tries to deliver a spinning back kick that I ducked but it brushed my ear such that it burned...we go round and round with me just blocking..all over the road...anyways I manage to pin her to the wall and she seems to settle saying you can let me go...so I let her go and she ducks past me straight into the restaurant and king hits a poor lady just sitting there and she goes down out cold...everyone grabs her takes her down and they call the police..they come and I say I didnt see what happened there were enough witness on hand I dont want to testify in court...she gets taken away screaming at me..where are you when I need you??? We later found her car, door open with keys in the ignition. But she really was super model material. I must have a sign on my head "nutters welcome". I must make an index for a book that I would never write. Alex
