No virus ever does. But we can get to the point where it's not killing as many people - which would be good. IMO.
If the virus cannot be killed, what will prevent it from taking hold once again? Which makes no sense if the virus is still loose in the wild. The only advantage I see is that we are nearing summer, and that the virus has practically zero tolerance for sunlight, but it is always sunny in CA.
What's wrong with living like a hermit...to me it is the height of success...a point where you don't have to deal with anyone to make your bread and butter, where your day is yours to do what you wish.... Alex
God? It's probably just a phase of evolution where humans will go extinct and kangaroos become the dominate species... There must be a lot of folk that have gone broke already..in my real estate business I would be broke by now...any small business can't survive as the overhead does not stop...even laying off all your staff does not help..think of the rent on a shop front, if no money coming in just the rent becomes big money...its like playing poker, each hand you have to put money in the pot and if you don't get a win every so often your chips are eaten away...and for most folk they won't have the money to buy back in...many years ago now but my business cost sixty grand a month ...that will burn up your equity in your house real quick...back then. Alex
You are welcome I hope the site traffic benefits and the site owners whoever they may be are rewarded for providing this place for the enjoyment, edification and entertainment of the members and passers by. Alex
truly practical experience is welcomed in this thread. I imagine you might feel some sympathy for those small businesses that are suffering under the pressure right now.
I am preoccupied with the thought that a million people die each year, apparently every year, from starvation. Also often being forced out of business is the only way you can get to freedom so it does not have to be a big deal and losing everything in time makes you tuff...when you become stuff you enjoy everything much more I find. Alex
Help feed them. Every business lost is a loss for its employees and a loss for the community, not to mention the loss for all the other businesses with whom it did business.
Why? I don't know them. Let the churches help so they can manage their guilt. Now you are right but there is no need to get emotional. Bye. Alex
Well they are faceless and unimportant ...give them a meal if they will convert otherwise it's over to God. They must be exercising their free will to starve...I will sleep well knowing that. No I am out of onions. Alex
I have all the pain I can manage but I am not going to sook or get emotional...and it's a great excuse to buy a bottle of booze once a month. The pain does not stop but somehow you don't care. I can only brush cut for ten minutes and have to rest an hour and it is so wonderful to pop in here and bump gums... I just made a great lunch cause I was too slack to have breakfast...two eggs in a coffee mug add some milk beat it and poured over some tomatoes and hot salami all diced in a frying pan...but it really needed some onions...put that on some toasted nine grain bread with pepper and pink salt is nice..I know only toast for lunch is doing it tuff ..and I was so happy not to be starving and just appreciated each mouthful just that much more...I am thinking that it would be good practice to say a silent thank you to the farmers, the truck drivers and the supplying super market who makes it all possible...well I think I will each meal. Alex
Immunity. Same for every virus. Polio, for example, is a virus. Has it taken hold? ?? Why not? Stage 2 means curbside pickup, some companies partially reopen. If it works and infection rates/deaths continue to decline, then we continue. If not, we go back to a stricter level.
