Wow, you really can't even manage to remember what you posted. No one said proof, itself, was a straw man. Your obvious straw man was that I ever claimed anyone had proof of human to human transmission. They had every reason to believe that China was lying, even without Taiwan's warning, and still downplayed it and repeated the Chinese party line. Any expert in the field would have suspected they were given faulty information and that human to human transmission was not only "limited" and "possible" but also highly likely given knowledge of past SARS outbreaks.
Throughout January, the World Health Organization publicly praised China for what it called a speedy response to the new coronavirus. It repeatedly thanked the Chinese government for sharing the genetic map of the virus “immediately,” and said its work and commitment to transparency were “very impressive, and beyond words.”

But behind the scenes, it was a much different story, one of significant delays by China and considerable frustration among WHO officials over not getting the information they needed to fight the spread of the deadly virus, The Associated Press has found.

Despite the plaudits, China in fact sat on releasing the genetic map, or genome, of the virus for more than a week after three different government labs had fully decoded the information. Tight controls on information and competition within the Chinese public health system were to blame, according to dozens of interviews and internal documents.
    ...
WHO officials were lauding China in public because they wanted to coax more information out of the government, the recordings obtained by the AP suggest. Privately, they complained in meetings the week of Jan. 6 that China was not sharing enough data to assess how effectively the virus spread between people or what risk it posed to the rest of the world, costing valuable time.

The WHO praised China while it knew, for a fact, that China was keeping information from them. They couldn't help but know that their cheer leading of China was a lie, and they admit they lied, to coax China to cooperate more, even on their own website (which I've already cited).

Your up straw men about "proof" and "factually incorrect" have nothing to do with it.

Whatever else you think you're trying to argue, that was a wholly fallacious post. Nothing but genetic fallacies, and wholly off-topic to boot.
I can only assume from that defense that you think Vox is centrist. Okay, I won't overestimate your intelligence ever again.

Thereby possibly saving many European lives.
    Tactics of combat.
Do you think the tactic was a mistake? If so, why?

It doesn't matter if the WHO were run by North Korea. Once Trump received the appropriate advice from his own medical experts, everything that's resulted since from his disregard for that advice falls on his own shoulders.

Or more accurate, more reliable in its presentation of facts and information. Solidly to the "more accurate" end of that scale, not centrist. That often shows up as "left biased" on US news media rating scales.

It's only centrist politically, and only in relationship to the American public. It's obviously left of center among US news media, on the left/right axis. Which is more important to you?
