Without knowing the details of your back surgery...are you still glad you had it done or did you have to have it done?

I have "minor" back problems but everyone I know who has had back surgery doesn't seem to be any better. Just curious about your case.

Near could not walk or stand..for example trying to wash a plate I could not make a full circuit of the plate with a dish cloth before I had to grab the counter top to take the pressure off and continue to stand..very lucky not to be in a wheel chair full time.. I have days where I use the wheel chair to ease things..the legs just burn all the time..I don't take anything so as not to impair my driving..if it gets too much I drink half a bottle of scotch which just takes my mind off it so it's manageable the next day..it's still there but it stopping while I am shattered really helps strangely.
Sortta like rum for a cold it just takes your mind off things for a while.
The clouds won't allow anything tonight.

Very lucky no back pain at all but I was strong when young and that helped I am sure as it was never working hard...plus I always warmed up before exercise.

Be well and stay well .

Back problems are no joke . It is where your nervous communicates back and forth between the brain and the rest of your body .

I’m self employed and never did I think I would qualify for unemployment benefits.. it’s enough to stay afloat and not have to dip into savings to get through this(hopefully)

Hi folks, this is my first post here. I signed up more than a year ago but didn't get a round tuit...
I'm a retired engineer living just outside Port Townsend, WA, USA. I build catapults for hurling pumpkins in the fall but there won't be an event this year.
Now I need to figure out how to update my password and post an avatar.

To answer the primary question, I am retired. Worked as a federal lawman for most of my working life. Was also a locksmith for a few years and have been an ordained member of the 'gospel ministry' for more than twenty years.

Interests include history, physical sciences (living things are rather vague to me), of course theology and firearms within certain boundaries.

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and my day job is that of a janitor.

I did teach English in Quito, Ecuador for over a year and since that time I feel a compulsion to at least attempt to educate people all over the socio - economic spectrum about some information that I feel is critical to our setting in motion a series of events that can lead to a vastly better world over the coming years and decades.

I believe in a Multiverse that is affected by our decisions... and our decisions are affected by our beliefs..... many of which are quite flawed and biased.

My wife and I plan to move closer to Toronto as soon as our house in Nova Scotia sells.

    God why??

It's the funniest story we have: most of the locals we've met on our trips to Nova Scotia turn out to be Torontonians who've sold their house and escaped to Nova Scotia.

Yes.. my wife and I have noticed.....
virtually every other house in our area of Nova Scotia has sold already..... and yes.....
it is usually to somebody from Ontario!

Ninety percent of our family now lives near Toronto... and the two grandsons are four and one year of age.....
I cannot compete with them when it comes to keeping my wife entertained and happy.......
so although I lived all of my life here in Nova Scotia, (except for my year and a half in Quito, Ecuador)...... I shall bite the bullet and move wherever my wife chooses!

You appear to have nailed flawed and biased with your beliefs
