You are still paying attention to the content and "logic" of what Trump says, treating his words as if they had been employed to communicate that content.

Trump voters don't care about some liberal's idea of what Trump says. They know what he means.

They just don't know that what he means is also a con, also a line of bs composed by pros. They can see through (and past) what he says to what he means - but there they hit a wall.

    There isn't one.
If you'd been flipping a coin as advised you might have got one right by now. Why not flip a coin over who to vote for?

That's easy, just read the comments and chats on youtube videos f0r any Trump rally. They refer to Trump as Jesus, the Messiah, their Lord and Savior. They think Trump is God's messenger and they worship him.

What was your agenda in reciting white supremacist, right-wing make-believe earlier this year↗? It seems as if you were supporting the antisocial, white supremacist, misogynist, right-wing agenda when you decided to recite their talking points about "'antifa' thugs doing their best Hitler-brown-shirts imitations"?

What agenda were you pursuing by lying like that?

It actually seems pretty clear given that you used the "Hitler brown-shirts" line in defense of the American Nazi heritage.

So what agenda were you pursuing, Yazata, when promoting supremacist make-believe?

Think America is number one? The world will go on without the USA.

Don't say you're not going to vote before listening to this guy.

Sorry, it was the video that sparked the response really. It was newer to me.

I will check it out when I have some time later.

In real news, it seems that the polls are showing less undecided voters than when Trump first ran. It's not looking good for him. The ''undecideds'' seem to be leaning towards Biden, whereas the undecideds leaned towards (more than leaned, voted for) Trump, then.

Believe it or not, the problem for Trump seems to be in convincing whites to vote for him this time around.

Did the woman of the house make you take it back? Good for her.
Flip a coin to vote? I guess there are good people on both sides but I'll pass.

You can't vote can you? Not until there is a socialist candidate I guess. That's precious. You keep on doing you.

Wow. In light of more recent events, that post--which was made in late January--is somehow even more preposterous today:

It's best to stick with standard definitions for words when communicating with randos and the general public, but I've long made a habit of using the terms "idiot" and "idiocy" in an idiosyncratic fashion, borrowed from the late Vicki Hearne. An idiot, to me, is by no means necessarily stupid and/or ignorant; rather, the idiot practices willful stupidity and is uniquely dangerous. And that there post of Yazata's is pretty much the pinnacle of idiocy.

This is probably (fer sure) going to come off as sarcasm, but I'm deadly serious... I only contributed one post to this thread (that was really just a link), but you are the first person I feel I had a hand in "converting." You made my day!

I am so happy that you changed your mind and plan to vote... So happy, indeed, that I intend not to scroll back in an attempt to discern which way you plan on voting, but instead just to revel in the simple happiness of motivation. Yay!

(PS - I hope to [insert higher power] that you intend to help unseat the Hitler wannabe...)

haha Yes, you (and others) have shown me the light. *cue church choir*

I'm pretty sure you'll figure out which ''way'' I'll be voting.

There is no real mystery about this most recent rise of fascism in the US - these guys aren't hiding their light under a bushel.

They will not change, grow, or learn. Their only need for success is that good people do nothing.

The question is how to beat them.

They also form a chunk of his voter base.

Which is the most surprising, because a lot of them will vote for him again.. Well, not really I guess.. They vote for the America of old - Jim Jones, supremacism.. That attitude and belief that it's better to be white and poor, than a 'negro' and poor..

    Eugenics.

    For some, yes.

    But for others? No.

This belief that it's "never Liberal, no matter what" can't be attributed to all his voters. I think a very large portion of it vote for him because he speaks their language and feeds their vile bigotry.

He's no longer hiding it. There's no question now.

With this racist warmup complete, Trump then veered into an open endorsement of eugenics — the discredited theory that the human race can be improved with selective breeding for superior traits. The theory has an ugly history in America. And Hitler’s embrace of eugenics in Nazi Germany gave rise to the program of “race hygiene” that culminated in the extermination of millions of Jewish people and others at death camps. “You have good genes, you know that right?” Trump said to the nearly all-white crowd. “A lot of it is about the genes, isn’t it? Don’t you believe? The racehorse theory,” Trump said. “You think we’re so different? You have good genes in Minnesota.”

Not a single person in that audience looked uncomfortable or even boo'ed or tried to shout that down.

A President who openly and clearly states that the death of 200,000 people, many of whom are elderly means nothing because to him, those deaths do not affect anyone.. That same President, a few days later, openly raised the spectre of white supremacist eugenics at another rally.

    And they cheered him on.

    He's speaking their language.

    That is his agenda.

So, when I see someone like Yazata state that people vote for an agenda.. I have to wonder, given these last 2 weeks and the now clear and open display of horrendous white supremacy and eugenics, what kind of person votes for the agenda of the person spouting this rubbish?

The fact he's already stated he won't accept the results of the election if he loses and also openly stated that is why he wants that SC seat filled with his pick before the election - as he intends to challenge so he can continue to remain President.. Who votes for someone who is so clearly showing his intent and this agenda?

^^ The only justification would be that they either don’t care or don’t believe it. Ignorance or arrogance.

And to get Republicans to vote for him. The list of prominent Republicans voting for Biden is getting longer and longer - including Cindy McCain, Mitt Romney, most of his former administration officials, and a good chunk of the US military.

Wow, no way. That’s interesting. Whether one dislike Republicans or not, I think many view Trump as a fascist than a historic type of Repub or “traditional” one, for lack of a better word.

Yep. I posted a list of republican cabinet members, military leaders, senators, representatives and governors who oppose Trump in another thread, but the system kept telling me "post too long." I had to cut it down by a lot.

Or maybe he is speaking their language.

They cheered when he said it.
