Perhaps it's because he hasn't been heard from in over a month.

Maybe he’s enjoying life. We assume that someone is banned over that possibility?

Wegsy, I'm pretty sure this thread is actually "tongue in cheek" with regards to banning. But one could say [as we all have our private life] that if one's personal time is such that as an administrator of the forum, he lacks the time for the forum, then perhaps he needs to rethink his position?

I'm sure someone will now start to argue about "Of course you have a tongue in your cheek"

Well, there are other mods here if there are issues that arise. I don’t think there’s enough daily or even weekly traffic to warrant several mods to be on the watch.

''Worse than Hitler I hear! ''

''He was a ruthless autocrat! ''

I think some here will be sorry for those remarks when James R returns...From his ban.
Names are going in the book.

The buzz is Seattle, don't tell him I told you, or I may be taking a break too.
Yes, I think Tiassa will be taking a well deserved long break soon.

Speaking of missing mods, what happened to Fraggle Rocker, Kmguru and Trippy, who are all still listed as staff members?

Notice that Bells is on her best behavior lately? Coincidence?

    Lol I just saw this.

And the silliest member award goes to.... ^_^

Maybe if we all meet someday, you can teach us how to paint.

I'll take that award. I'd like to thank Wegs for her support and I couldn't have done it without her. I'd also like to thank Tiassa and Iceaura for creating the environment for there to be a need for a silliness award.

There are too many little people in here for me to thank everyone but you know who you are.
God Bless America and Good Night...

(free painting lessons will be held in the lobby for those interested)

Will we be painting the lobby, or making copies of the Hitler water-colours referred to in post #6? Your faithful followers demand the truth. (To anticipate your reply, we can handle the truth. We have asbestos gloves.)

Hitler watercolors will be the lesson de jour.

Seattle, Is that apple (avatar) one of your paintings?

Is the black and blue at its base a shadow or is the apple on a pedestal.

Ps. I don't like the mix of yellow with red, maybe blue...

Yes, and yes it's a cast shadow. I like the yellow background and don't like the blue.

Fraggle Rocker's departure is both interesting and not; Kmguru drifted away, though he seemed, at the time, fascinated with the lizard-people revisionist; Trippy, as far as I can tell, got tired of our shit and just went on with his life.

An unfortunate personnel catastrophe. If I am tempted to recall the incident in comparative terms, it is true the difference probably reflects continuing decline; to suggest we passed on potential reconciliation would overlook particular circumstances of the time. As much as I would like to think we could have handled that episode differently, the space we needed, as such, in order to work those aspects through was simply not available. I cannot project what would have happened under other circumstances.

I found Kittamaru as most efficient and the most even handed of the mods and admins. While religious of sorts, he still quickly admonished the three Indian preachers that infested the forum, and always called out the extreme of political beliefs both left and right.
