In England, I saw most white people do not eat heavy lunch, they ate sandwich etc.
    They only prepare dinner.
    Why?

We Chinese and most Asians eat heavy lunch, we eat rice for lunch and dinner, breakfast sometimes also eat rice (call it nasi lemak = coconut milked rice with chilli)

    Quote:

    American here.

Breakfast: a bowl of cold cereal (I like frosted mini-wheats) in cold milk. Very rarely, a bowl of hot oatmeal with milk, or pancakes and syrup.

Lunch: Leftovers from whatever we had for dinner in the past few days. If no leftovers, I usually have cheese and sandwich meat between two flour tortillas, heated in a skillet until cheese is nicely melted. I usually drink a glass of soda with lunch.

Supper/Dinner: At home, I usually eat a skillet meal of some type - meat, vegetables, and sauce, served with rice, potatoes, or pasta - all prepared in the same skillet.

If I eat fastfood, it will be much like lunch, although I might get a more expensive hamburger with cheese and bacon on it.

They have to work for the rest of the day rather than nap for 2 hours. By dinner, they are hungry.

To ask a question it takes the form of "Why do" and then the actual question and not just "Why" and then a statement. Why Westerns do not eat... is not correct. It should be "Why do Westerns not eat...".

I know. Every language is different. That's why it takes study to not just translate directly from one language to another.

I used to work with a lady from China. She would tell a story and it went something like this...

"So he came into my office and said he wanted some report. I told her I had it ready somewhere and she said she would wait and eventually I gave it to him."

I would listen to her story and then ask "Who the heck is "she" in this story.

Her response was "Sorry, we don't differential between "he" and "she" in my language."
She was just forgetting what pronoun was being used each time.

It's the same with family, you are either a mother, father, brother or sister or you are called "uncle' or "aunt" in her language (and I guess in your mother tongue as well).

These are the things you have to overcome to learn another language, not just learning nouns.

She would also think using every word but only every other word would come out of her mouth so she was very difficult to understand. After you knew her for a while you knew what she was like and you could figure out what she was trying to communicate. Or you just avoided long conversations with her.

"You" in Chinese got plural and singular, basically, 1) you is single person 2) you-men is plural, when you talk to a group of people.
Sometimes English also does not differentiate plural and singular pronoun.

When I travel to Europe and stay in hotels, the continental breakfast is kind of boring, everyday are the same varieties of food.
Why do westerners eat so boring menu?

Continental breakfast is not what most people have for breakfast. That's what the hotel calls it when they offer a free breakfast. It's free because they are only giving you toast. When it's a real (good) breakfast they offer pancakes, sausage, bacon, orange juice and toast.

If you consider that boring, it's just a cultural thing because you are expecting rice. Most Westerners would consider having the same thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner boring. I had some South Korean co-workers who would eat kimchee and rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. That's boring

Not necessarily the case...many times a year I am attending "lunch time BBQ's where I am likeley to stuff myself silly on a dirty big T Bone with some king prawns on the side, and salad. In those cases, then its a light evening meal.
Another of course is XMAS day late lunch, where again one can stuff himself silly with Chicken, Ham, Pork, Prawns, trifle and ice cream or custard, and then a cup of tea and Xmas cake.
By then one is so stuffed with food and beer and peanuts and potato chips, an arvo nap is required.

Considering that English Cuisine consists of bangers and mash with a pint of local suds, you're not making a fair comparison.

That's where our superpowers come from. In the developing world everyone is taking a nap after that heavy lunch. Productivity is down. We have perfected the light lunch coupled with Coke and productivity is up!

There's no question Americans are some of worst when it comes to health. Let's keep remembering the latest benchmark here, millions of people in America love Trump, that should speak volumes on their priorities and decision making process.

Excellent point and why don't they cut the hair where sideburns would be? I like rice but it is possible to over do that as well don't you think? Why do they smile when they are upset? Why do they ask so many questions?

And why don't they use knives and forks like normal people? And why do they wear hats like lampshades?

Why Asians so short? Why their hair so dark and straight? Why they so orderly? Why they love you long time?

I'm partial to Asian women, but the blokes don't do anything for me.
