Having read above posts, I must ask, at what end was you coughing, front or rear?

The nasal swab was a test for SARS-CoV-2, not COVID-19.

Um, why answer if you couldn't prove it?

    SARS-C0V-2 causes COVID-19.

Forgive me. Even though it’s a hopeless and forlorn effort, a try to correct this world-wide scientific inaccuracy when I can.

SARS-CoV-2 is a virus. When people are infected with SARS-CoV-2 they may, or may not, develop a syndrome of symptoms known as Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The syndrome encompasses a variety of symptoms; different combinations of symptoms will manifest in different patients. Or, they may be asymptomatic (ie. SARS-CoV-2 positive but COVID-19 negative). It’s exactly analogous to HIV and AIDS.

So, people catch SARS-CoV-2. It’s SARS-CoV-2 that spreads from person to person. We test people for SARS-CoV-2. When people are infected with the virus they are SARS-CoV-2-positive. If it makes them sick, then they have COVID-19.

Um, you still haven't proven it.

    If you could link something?

Yes, it does seem to be a losing battle to maintain this distinction.

The analogy with HIV and AIDS is very helpful.

    Um, I don't understand.

Haven't proven what, exactly? Are you asking me substantiate something that it literally takes 10 seconds of online searching to verify?

10 seconds yielded this peer-reviewed high impact scientific review: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41579-020-00459-7. Enjoy.

I was dubious too, Beer w/Straw.

So I consulted my brother, who has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and has spent the last 20 years studyjng viruses. I quoted Herc's post 27 to him, verbatim:

If it makes them sick, then they have COVID-19.

and asked my brother how much of it was true. His response (and I quote):
My brother doesn't make black and white statements like that unless he means it. And that's good enough for me.

It's easier to type Covid 19 than SARS-CoV-2. It's not necessarily that people don't know the difference. Whereas, there's really no excuse for writing "AIDS" when you mean "HIV", or vice versa.

    Well, yeah.

When you say something like this:
It can appear you want to denigrate people for being ignorant rather than offer information.

Now that is certainly an interesting detail about Henry Ford and the Model T.

I did have a COVID 19 test last July and since then I increased my intake of MSM, vitamins C, D3 and zinc in order to hopefully not have even so much as a sore throat so that I don't have to have another one any time so. So far so good.... only the one test so far....... it was negative......

re-posting this because its so important
if people do not understand this & they are pretending to talk about Covid19 or SAR"SCoV-2
then you know your talking to a monkey not a person
convert translator to "monkey language" or change subject(or just walk away, that may be considerably more efficient).

4 of the 5 nasal swab tests i have had were inconsequential in personal discomfort

however 1 was very sore and made my nose bleed slightly
the nurse appeared to be in a bad mood
    i also had raging sinusitis

however it appears the testing skill level is the difference between a monkey slamming its fist on a piano and calling it music
and a high grade piano player gliding their fingers through a scale in a moments muse of thought.

i might ask to keep my syringe (for a souvenir, lacquered in hard lacquere and framed would be quite cool)when i get my vaccination(eventually when ever that happens, i expect in a few months time as i am low on the risk level)

    My sincere apologies.

It's just that you doubled-down and made a challenge without doing any homework. ("why answer if you couldn't prove it?")

But it appears the whole world has settled for using "COVID19" as the descriptor for everything, despite it being inaccurate in most cases. I suppose this simplifies things for the purposes of information dissemination. So be it.

    Again, sorry.
