For the thread perhaps keep to the Abrahamic religions god, meaning
    • omnipotent
    • omnipresent
    • omniscient
version. Henceforth shorthand term 3O god. To be clear god² has not done anything even though has the EXACT same characteristics (powers) as god¹

Theist, who believe in at least one god, perhaps pretend Mary had twins, but only one did anything (create the Universe etc etc), the other was never heard of until a new discovery of Dead Sea Scroll turned up

    I am not suggesting you
    • stop worshiping your current god or
    • switch allegiance or
    • worship both
    • even though these options are available
Atheists, use as a mind exercise. Would it be possible, reality wise ie Physics wise?

If two distinct entities are both omnipotent, you still have the classic omnipotence paradox - to-wit:

Can God Alice create a boulder so heavy that God Bob can't lift it?

There is the omnipotence which stops at being able to overcome the laws of logical inconsistencies

wondering if your side lining religions that record beliefs around gods fighting each other
    ?
so smaller gods fighting = ok
but the singular class highest god having no competition
    pyramid structure etc

    No

Exactly as written. Two gods with exactly the same powers
    • omnipotent
    • omnipresent
    • omniscient
Part of the question comes from something noted in a different forum

god appears to recognise other gods exist

The 10 commandments culled from the 613
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/613...tion that there,recorded in Talmud Makkot 23b.
    starts off

    Ten Commandments list & meaning
    • You shall have no other gods before Me.
    • You shall make no idols.
    • You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
    • Keep the Sabbath day holy.
    • Honor your father and your mother.
    • You shall not murder.
    • You shall not commit adultery.
    • You shall not steal.
    • You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
    • You shall not covet.
Somehow this version has 14 commandments

1 I am the Lord thy God
2 Thou shalt have no other gods before me
3 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image
4 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
5 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy
6 Honour thy father and thy mother 12[33] 16[34]
    7 Thou shalt not murder
8 Thou shalt not commit adultery
    9 Thou shalt not steal
10 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour
11 Thou shalt not covet (neighbour's house)
12 Thou shalt not covet (neighbour's wife)
13 Thou shalt not covet (neighbour's slaves, animals, or anything else)
14 You shall set up these stones, which I command you today, on Mount Gerizim.
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_Commandments

From number 1 in the top version and 2 in the second version we have

V1 You shall have no other gods before Me.
V2 Thou shalt have no other gods before me

Which, to me, implies god KNOWS there IS other god out there and/ or he knows his (possessive god that he is) Minions THINK/SUSPECT there are other god(s) around

V1 the first 3 are about him
V2 the first 4 are about him

which should all be moot because he knows they will all be broken

So getting back to can two
    • omnipotent
    • omnipresent
    • omniscient
each knowing how the future will unfold

Interested more in the atheist thoughts because I suspect theist will dismiss the concept of more than one god

No. It's a monotheistic religion, which admits one and only ever one god.
Of course, he can have as many aspects and manifestations as he likes.

    Then it's not omnipotence; it's nigh-omnipotence.

Answer is simple : Question is invalid.

We can not state about God's "abilities" using what we know from the world (the one we actually live in).

Per example, to give a clear insight of the problem of this kind of question.
    Exist is a word.
You can use the conceptual or the scientific signification of this word.

If we use it accordingly to our experience of the existence (so the scientific signification), so far it only consists of pairing permanent observational property (therefore it can be shared with other scientists) with a category (a table , a ball , an atome etc).
So if we say something "exists" it is not the conceptual fomulation, we are not even sure the concept "existing" is valid at some point... because it comes from our experience in a real world and imagination mixed together.
It is like "creation", we never have seen real creation (the concept) in our world, we always observe transformation.
And we suppose naivly that "the creation" concept can be understand or even is valid, altought we have never seen any of it and we do the confusion with the transformation phenomenom.

So, God is not "an object" that is part of the world, include in it, He is supposed to be the Creator "living ???" "elsewhere ???" (very likely there are some concepts missing here we can't understand).
How can we state of the existence of God and even his ability of be multiple ?

Therefore, in my opinion, because God is God, nothing is impossible for God.
If a square must be round, so it will be.

    How is a question invalid?

    question

    noun

a sentence worded or expressed so as to elicit information.

we hope this leaflet has been helpful in answering your question

    verb

ask questions of (someone), especially in an official context.

four men were being questioned about the killings

    Definitions from Oxford Languages

    invalid

Invalid is defined as not correct or provable or not legally recognised. An example of invalid is a theory that has been proven wrong.

An example of invalid is a marriage without a proper marriage license.

    Google

I am giving you definitions because you appear to be making up your own

Yes, thats how the "invalid" question can be undestand : The question doesnt apply.
    Other invalid questions :
    How strong is red ?
Why is the earth hollow ?
What is greater, 11 or London ?

So now, i dont say you should not try to understand and do speculations of any sorts.

I find myself this questioning very distracting because i dont think there is blasphemy in doing so (not every people think so...).
Only, just at the end, you must be aware that this kind of questions can't be taken seriously.

    Thats the point.
Like earth is not hollow, God do not exists.

Is it possible for 2 gods to exist simultaneously? I would say it is about as likely as having 1 god existing.

There is a similar question we should try to solve first.
Is it possible for 2 identical objects to exists simultaneously ?
Or do this implie that it is the same object ?

Along the way in making up new deities to complain about, perhaps making sense might help.

The underlying question is essentially the same as polytheism. A constrained deity, by definition, is not the monotheistic godhead.

It's probably easier to simply observe that, even as described in scripture, the Abramic God does not fulfill the role of a monotheistic godhead; that elevation is an act of faith.
