I prefer "Stranger Things"! It's a suspense thriller.

Coherence (2013) On the night of an astronomical anomaly, eight friends at a dinner party experience a troubling chain of reality bending events.
(Sounds ho hum, I know, but wow.)

The sci-fi series of a future earth, "Altered Carbon" is a very interesting concept of a future where a person's life-experiences are recorded from the moment of birth on a "stack", an implant which records the person's "identity" . When the person gets old or dies the stack can be removed and implanted in other bodies of dead or cloned people.
The very rich can become "immortal" by this body switching but retaining all life experiences.

This series presents some very interesting moral dilemmas. Good VR scenes and an interesting cast made me bingewatch the whole series in two sittings.

p.s. warning: there is crude language and explicit full frontal nudity and BDSM scenes, but they are incidental and illustrative of the dangers of boredom when you are immortal and as long as your victims have a stack they can be restored to life anyway. (also crude language).
