Wig is head cover. Whig was the name of a political in U.S. and also used in reference to 19th century Liberal party in U.K. Is there any connection other than pronunciation between these words.

"...etymologically “Whig” and “wig” are not related.

The origin of “Whig” has never been pinned down. It might possibly be from “whiggamer” or “whiggamore,” one of a group of Scottish rebels who marched on Edinburgh in 1648, according to the Oxford English Dictionary."

    pronunciation

    HwWh-ig whig
    wig! wig

usa generic last names are changed a lot to hide inside deeply xenophobic culture
Europeans would often change their names to odd common sounding
they needed the opposite of becoming famous to become rich

whig is probably German-austrian or Austrian, Swedish adaptation

& real name would be closer to 15 characters long

if they cant easily say your name
    you will be persecuted
= normal society up until 20 years ago or soo
still common culture in many places

Flipping a Whig is probably illegal.
