Mathematics in and of its self can not create a physical object . Without reference to a physical object .

They don't need to. All mathematics needs do is arrange stuff in specific patterns which we call reality.

How so ? How does mathematics , in and of its self arrange anything ? In the Universe . It arranges our lives but not the Universe .

Inherent universal logical functions. Things arrange in specific patterns because they are mathematically prohibited from doing otherwise. If they do so in a mathematically unsound manner, they are subject to natural selection and tend to disappear in time.

Mathematical functions is part of the inherent Darwinian deterministic nature of universal mechanics.

Mathematics have no physical function . Other than understanding . Mathematics doesn't interfere with anything physical , in and of its self . Changing anything in a equation does not change the physical . The physical is changed only when the change in the equation , is made physical .

Exactly! Humans can fool around with symbolic representations and equations, but are totally unable to alter the natural mathematical laws of nature. See Logical Determinism.

Yes we can , alter the natural laws of nature . The periodic table , once completely understood ...

    You're trolling.

Give one specific example of how we can "alter the natural laws of nature" or retract your empty claim.

This kind of inane nonsense is why you are banned from our Science sections.

Why Write4U thinks it is profitable to engage in a lengthy discussion with you would be a mystery, were it not for the fact that he's probably flattered that somebody will apparently give him the time of day to listen to another repeat of his pet theories about the Mathematical Universe, microtubules or Tegmark worship.

I'm starting to think the two of you have found your mutual level of discourse.

ONLY IN RESPONSE TO ANOTHER POSTER'S QUESTION.
AND NOTE THAT I ALWAYS REFER TO MY OWN THREADS THAT DEAL WITH MY PET SUBJECTS SPECIFICALLY.
YOU ARE APPLYING UNFAIR CENSORSHIP! APPLYING PENALTY POINTS. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
YOU ARE REALLY BEGINNING TO ANNOY ME!

AND YOUR USE OF THE WORD SPAM IS AN AD HOMINEM, NOT ONLY TO ME , BUT BY EXTENSION TO ALL THE EMINENT SCIENTISTS I QUOTE.

YOU ARE NOT A MODERATOR. YOU ARE A POLITICAL GROUPIE AND YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

Please don't post off topic comments. If you have a problem with the moderators you should PM them or put the comments in the feedback section.
    Thanks.

Tell that to exchemist. He is not a moderator and has no authority to post off-topic comments.

And if a moderator sees fit to humiliate me in public, I reserve the right to respond to his unjust accusations in public. As I observed this is not an autocratic political forum. My rights are the same as everyone else.

And that goes for you as well. You just posted an off-topic comment and I have reported you.

You do realise this post of yours is off-topic.

I wish you would quote me verbatim instead of altering my post to suit your argument.

Can we start a definitions thread? It would save a lot of phosphors if all we had to do was link to it every time Write4U (or MR) misuses the term.

    Ad hominem:
(Attacking the person): This fallacy occurs when, instead of addressing someone's argument or position, you irrelevantly attack the person or some aspect of the person who is making the argument.

Unless he thinks JamesR is accusing Write4U's person of literally being walking-talking spam.

(I'll infract myself for my off-topic comments, and see myself out.
