ok im downloading aoe 2 from its disk to my pc, and when it starts it pop ups an error saying that a file its susppose to create is already in use "C://programsfiles/microsoftgames/ageofempires2/data etc , and then i hit ignore and it goes through the download but says failed to download at 95 %

ive had the program on here before , but took it off .. so i know it can be on here , any thoguhts

How did you remove the file?
If it was just by hitting delete you may have just removed the search path. Do you have a reconstruct program on your p c ? Like norton or something? Try looking for it and if any joy re delete. this may work. Otherwise try looking in ms dos, and try getting rid that way.

hmmmmmm, I think tht means tht there is a file C://programsfiles/microsoftgames/ageofempires2/data etc tht is started up with windows. I suggest you to delete it from DOS environment. And then try downloading again.

btw, what OS are you using?

any ways i used the unistall thisng to get it off the first time.
