View Full Version : i have had more than 86 posts
Peter Griffin 09-27-02, 07:34 AM i have had more than 86 posts, on my profile, it says I have only 86 posts when 'sex with thor', 'your favourite place' and 'what makes threads more interesting' has well taken over 86 posts, I should have more posts added to my profile, can you do anything about it?, please.
goofyfish 09-27-02, 07:41 AM Is number of posts truly important? ;)
Yes, yes it is.
Peter, you have hardly posted so that is a resonable amount. I think someone may have added some posts onto that.
Just cos Goofy and I tower over you doesn't mean that you're post count isn't high. Its is actually very high
There must be 3,000 members here with 0 posts
Peter Griffin 09-27-02, 08:14 AM yes, that's all I go on this site for, POSTS.

p.s.   I don't see myself towering over anyone.
Yeah you do, you have a large amount of posts
Peter, its not quantity, its quality, so far I see non of that from you :p
goofy asks:

peter sez:

One single well-written, thought-provoking post is worth more than 10,000 posts containing drivel.
;)
Well said, Thor, (Q), and goofyfish!

That number includes all members who posted in your threads.
You, personally, have posted 86 times (well, 94 now (http://www.sciforums.com/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=66247&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending)).
Peace.
Peter Griffin,
Do you have anybody that is a favorite that you look for their posts when you first arrive? If so, why?
Somewhere along the line you develop an opinion for some posters above others. You are either interested in what they have to say or maybe you agree with their line of thoughts.
This is where the quality comes in. When I said well said, I was I was echoing that of other members who had posted. Have you subject interests that you have researched? Have you presented them? While, at first posting numbers seemed to mean a lot after a while they are just one of those things that happen.
The total of posts accredited is automatic. If you think that your total is wrong it is up to you to prove so. Go back and count your posts. As near as I can tell your post totals are going up as you post. You only receive credit for those posts you make.

Yeah, me. Cos he knows me outside of Sciforums.
Request Permission to give Peter a punch in the back of the head, SIR
Peter, you don't seem to understand the concept of posts much do you. For the actual thread, its the overall replies it has recieved.
I believe your total is accurate
Porfiry 09-27-02, 05:46 PM it says I have only 86 posts when 'sex with thor', 'your favourite place' and 'what makes threads more interesting' has well taken over 86 posts
Are you suggesting my software is wrong!! :)
'# of posts' means the # of posts you yourself have made. Not the # of posts in threads created by you.
See, the big boss man knows all :p
