Hello. I am new here and really don't know if I'm in the right catogory for this subject, but here it goes.
Do you believe in the supernatural? And I don't mean vampires or ware-wolves or anything like that. I mean spirits, ghosts, potergeists, ect. I'm just wondering because sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who does.

Anyway, I have lived in haunted houses most of my life so I know what I'm talking about. I mean you can't just get bruises out of thin air. Nor can you get scratches that way. I have personally gone through this experience and am still wondering if I'm the only one who has.
I wouldn't say the dead follow me or anything, my parents just have bad luck with houses.
I can't really say much about the one were're living in now. Nothing drastic has happend. I may feel something, but it only lasts for a few moments then it is gone.
So if you've gone through something, or know someone who has, please don't let me be the only one who has. Let me know. I'd like to know that there are others out there like me.

yes i do.... but their ability to influence the material world is... obviously.. very small...

    and yet...

if you were to dialate your pupils... AND SIT IN THE DARK... with an electric heater in the room... you maY NOTICE your new found ability to see some infrared...
i.e.. you may see the warm air..

and if in this state... you look... you may see things.... less explainable.

i do not state this as fact...

i only state them as my view on things... which is not evidense.

Firstly, this is a science based forum, so you are unlikely to find many believers here.
Next, I have found myself in situations where I have experienced something which could well have been explained in such a way as spirits or ghosts.
Next, why do you think spirits etc can exist, and werewolves etc cannot?
You may well argue that myths have been present concerning ghosts and spirits for centuries across all cultures, but you will also find the same with dragons, shapeshifters/werewolves, vampires, demons, etc.
So, why do you choose to believe in spirits?

I think believing in the supernatural causes people to interpret things they don't immediately understand as the supernatural, thus further reinforcing the false hypothesis.
