I'm called Patrick or Pat a lot by people I know in real life, except for my dad – he calls me Rick. I like that better. Over the Internet, I tell people I'm Rick and never bother to say that my full, real name is Patrick. One of my friends had thought I was Peter the first few months we knew each other. I just didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't my name. Plus, I liked Peter too.

im called Super Brandon back in my hometown. my united states chess federation registration says "super" brandon im called either that, or "evil brandon" but here in belgium, people just say "that american guy"
My father sometimes calls me "agnus Dei" (God's lamb), sometimes in Latin, but usually in our native language "jagnje Božje". I rarely had nicknames, as my real name is odd enough. But I was called "teaspoon" -- "čajna žlička" --- for some time. It sounds terribly nice, all those rich fricatives and the affricata. (We are not Christians though.)
