Ah! Thanks for posting those spurious. I got lazy last week (after suffering huge losses) but am well on the way to 1st. Look out sameer.
Not to worry Wesmorris. I am still following a risky approach. I'm sure I will fall on my face one day.
I'm not worried. I don't want you to lose just because you're a commie. Even though I'm a capitalist pig, I still wish you the best of luck. My sorry capitalist ass appreciates success.
Heh OSAND, your score just shocked me. I had to take a look at your portfolio and I'm confused by the following part in your Holdings:- HXSCF 5,000 L +0.69 $161,709.50 Last: $32.34 Cost: $0.00 +$161,709.50 62.81 1. How is the cost $0.00? 2. Now just how did it reach $32.34 so fast? I researched on marketwatch and there seems to be no major news about this company. 3. Any details about the company would be welcome. Was this an IPO or something? How did you come to know about it and what made you buy it at $0.00? I'm truly surprised. yeah look at the chart, not so much. something fishy about that http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/intchart.asp?symb=HXSCF&sid=662938&siteid=mktw
Hmm, finally got at-least some clue about the company. Here: http://finance.google.com/finance?cid=682511 OSAND I'm anxiously awaiting your reply. Syed Sameer - A 14-year-old kicking some intelligent ass
I don't know where OSAND went. That was weird! I see I'm in 2nd place, more by good luck than good management. It's time to toss the dice...
Hynix is a well-known Korean semiconductor company, perhaps the 2nd largest in the world. I brought it when the stock price was 27.16, but there seems to be a bug regarding the stock price information. In actuality I brought the shares for $0 and apart from the odd intermittant correction of this bug, they are worth $0. Were it not for this bug, I'd have made $36,000 and be winning by a comfortable margin. I suspect the bug is due to the fact that the VSE is not sophisticated enough to understand the nature of the OTC market quotations. VSE probably uses the bid and ask quotations for trading and doesn't realise that OTC doesn't have these.
I have nothing to say, except that I can't wait until google comes crashing down Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

Small ups and downs do happen, and even when I see my Google shares not performing good for a day or two, I don't really worry much about it since I have really invested in them with a strong faith and with a long-term result in my mind. In the end I am quite certain that it will be rewarding, since I know that Google is more like still in the formation process. They are coming up with new things at a very fast rate, and all these new things dominate. So what's the latest Google's working on? Google Calendar. We have also seen Google Earth, Gmail and so many amazing things Google has offered. People who look for short-term benefits on the stock markets may be more appropriately called "Day-Traders" - I don't really like them much, but yes, if you're in need of some quick cash then I'd suggest doing that. I read somewhere that a $10,000 investment in the MSFT IPO would have been worth about $36 million today. (I think I read it at About.com or Investopedia) That's the rewards of long-term and well-planned investing. Always know the company you're investing in very well. I'm getting quite good at this, I'm actually helping out my dad with his investing! He's trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange (India). Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! How does he do that? I have, in RL, several Indian ADRs, but do not know how to trade directly. I think I know how to put money (Rupees) in an account there, but nothing else. The number of ADRs is rather limited.
My father is a Non-Residential Indian citizen. He does online trading and has a bank and demat account at ICICI Bank, India which has this option. A few weeks back I checked out www.ShareBuilder.com and I was all so excited at the thought of trading on the American markets all by my self, my own decisions but I got really disappointed when I read that it's only available for U.S. citizens. (I live in India) And plus it is for 18+, and I'm only 14 but I could've somehow gotten around that. My father says that at this time I should not do this and says that even though I am quite good for my age he says that I should focus on my academics. I really do want to trade so please help me out. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
